Enjoyed the video Alex! Hey what psi do you run the air bags in your trailer? So you just leave the compressor in all the time and let it run to maximum psi till it shuts off or do you run it up to a certain psi and then turn the compressor off? I'm trying to search info on it but not having much luck. Thanks man. Be safe out there.
@Mr.AlexKogan

Thank you! The pump on the trailer automatically kicks on when it drops to 80psi and automatically shuts off at 120psi. It has a pressure switch that regulates all that. Hope that helps in what you were trying to find out.

Not trying to nitpick but it is unsafe and illegal to hook your strap to the road rail that rub rail is non-structural to the trailer the rub rail can also be yet or bumped by some thing and cut the straps or calls to come over it is in fact a DOT violation other than that great job
@Mr.AlexKogan
@Mr.AlexKogan Ай бұрын
DOT have never said anything about that to me in 5 years. On gooseneck trailers there are no other spots for strap hooks. This is how all hotshots do it and I see this on majority flat bed semis.

@ ask a dot officer specific to tie down points better yet refer to your fmcsa hand book the green one that’s supposed to be in every commercial vehicle 49 cfr 393 subpart 1 and second there is no difference between you and a full scale flatbed you do the same thing and the securement is in fact the same

@@Mr.AlexKogan so basically almost 40 foot hotshot gooseneck trailers you’re supposed to use the steak pockets so you basically put your strap backwards across your load the hook goes through the state pocket backwards back up to the top of the stake pocket and hook it that way all of your strap material is on the inside of the red Briel and protected in case do you happen to bump up against something or someone bumps up against you presenting the strap from being cut I’m not trying to be an ass I am trying to help you I’ve seen it several times where a load falls off of the trailer due to the strap getting cut because itWrapped around the rub rail unfortunately giving the nature of the hotshot industry it is hot shots that I see this on mostly I have 18 years of flatbed and hotshot experience as well as heavy haul in there along the way just trying to give some helpful advice
