During the F1 visa interview is it good manners to first greet the visa officer, or you just wait her or him to be the first one to say hello

It's good manners to just greet people if you want some advice. Now here is what happened to me. She denied EVERYONE BEFORE ME. THE ONLY WHITW WOMAN AMONGST THREE SITTED IN 3 SMALL CUBICLES. Then it was my turn. She looked into my soul like a mirror. I was such a naive innocent person at the time. I had no judgements. A pink scarf to show my state of worship. And a scholarship to an Ivy league university. I told her i wanted to become a professor(which was the truth) until grad school FAILED ME AND MY ACADEMIC DREAMS. She prayed for me (a white woman,told me to take a jacket,and that I should do everything in my power to do well. She sealed my travel fate that day. A smile ,a warn tender look on her eyes and SOMETHINGBYHATS VERY IMPORTANT GOOD WILL. I wasn't better than the rest but my intentions were pure,no games and no babalawo stuff going on. Yep one guy before had gone to one baba and had red dots all over his passport. He ran after me after the interview .How did you do it he asked?He showed me his passport. I picked out all the red dust told him to reapply and never ever go back to any baba. But trust God. On my way back to collect my passport with the approved Visa,He was there. This time whatever he wanted to do was approved. He looked at me like I was ...I can't explain it but his gratitude was profound. I was slightly amused. Why don't you go home and thank God. I'm only human uncle ...and I was doing God's work. By the way Grad school flopped but I stayed due to clause on an immigration letter that said I should not leave anytime soon. What God cannot do truly exist Put it in the hands of God. And watch it happen.🎉 All the best.
