That looks way better. The 35-36 Ford coupes had that bead at the rear roof bottom ,so yes,you want that. keep it square, and go Daddy O.

Good move on the donor! And loved the pics of the General pulling that trailer -- in my opinion the General is at least one of the top three builds you have done on KZbin.

10:39 and it's powerful too! Like a lot of these projects are usually wimpy, not built well, just for show, ya know? But the General is the real deal.

Brent, I remember my grandfather telling me that he had a 4 door Desoto with the suicide doors back in the 30s.They lived in Toronto where the houses were very close together with a narrow lane between the houses with just enough room to get the car to the garage at the back of the house. He drove up the driveway and told his 2 little sons, my dad about 6 years-and his brother about 4 years to jump out before he drove through the lane way 😊😊to the back. Well , my dad went out the one door expecting his little brother to follow. His brother went out the other door expecting my dad to follow, so both doors were left open. Needless to say you can imagine what followed next. Old gramps drove through the lane only to have both door ripped off of the hinges. He told me this story with a hearty laugh when he was in his 80 s, he lived to be a hundred, buying his last new Chrysler when he was 88!😊

The General is a beast and you drive it accordingly ! A springtime tour would be good. I know you done this a million times but when you started cutting I'm thinking, What is he doing. And it all worked out ! No drawings , no measuring ! Unbelievable talent man ! There a a load of pics of restored Desoto on line . No vent windows .

Okay, finally another pre-war car. Now you've got my undivided attention. 👍 My buddy and I did this once on a 37 two-door sedan about the same condition as what you're starting with. Took us 7 months to finish. But when it was done it was absolutely beautiful. Big block 454 with everything

How you can take a coupe and a 4 door sedan and see the vision of the two being made into one car just amazes me. I wish I could get inside if your brain and woller around In there for a day. And how you see a problem and shrug it off and say "no big deal" is an art by its self. I'm really looking forward to seeing this one come together as it sound like you are going to make this one a beauty. Go ahead and post everyday if you want to 🙂I always make the old lady not bother me when your videos are on. I think you do the best videos on You Tube. Get well soon.

Considering what you started with, I might have been more than tempted to build the sedan instead of the coupe. I know everybody wants a coupe, but there's nothing wrong with a nice sedan. We'd all like to see that yard full of cars in the spring.

I have to admit, watching you chop up those classic cars like that may have hurt my feelings - I may have shed a couple of tears... But I get it, they would otherwise end up as scrap metal, or completely rust/deteriorate altogether. And then there's your brilliant, creative mind that has come up with some masterpieces, soooo... keep on keepin' on!
