People commenting about this job profile. In india, people know about only MBA,BTECH and becoming DOCTOR, thats what we are trained for. There can be hundreds of different profiles within an organization. No every company is about technology and management. Some have selling products to general public like clothing and food. These companys have different profiles. Some companies are totally logistics based,some are delivering online services, some provides consulting only,some doing research. So its about the work the company do and what it is required to run it.

@@i-am-a-horse bro check some stats. Entry is low but 5 yrs down the lane they get paid much more. Competition is lower than tech. So you have more chances in getting paid more . Just know technology is the way service gets easier. It's easier to push basic product to reach the consumer through tech. But to create a physical product, to manage the people and everything requires human touch and diverse fields are there to serve you. People don't know the basic demand and supply curve. Once tech's demand increase it's supply increases too. People major get low paying jobs with skills which don't co relate. Only a small get near 9+ lpa jobs.

I started my career in 2007 as a Trainee Marine Engineer,my salary then as a trainee was 750$,and when i became a 4th engineer it was 3300$, and when i was 3rd it was 4500$, and when i became 2nd it was 6500$ on first contract and then increased to 8500$, and when i became chief engineer it started at 8600$ and now i am getting 11000$. which sums to around 9 LPM, contract i generally do is 6 months,so it sums upto 55LPA , I sometimes wonder how software jobs are are at Par if not exceeded the salaries earned in Merchant navy watching these videos.
