Yes, to know you'll have that view when all that hard work is done has got to be a giant incentive! It was funny when you asked that goat "What are you doing up there?", he looked back like "What are you doing DOWN THERE??!" I did notice, when I was there, that the Italians do have a decided preference for lots of shiny tile, floor to ceiling, in bathrooms. Glad you won that battle! 😊

You should bar the doors and windows to keep the goats out, they could chew the wiring and pipework, and do untold damage, they will eat anything. Even netting may be enough.

I'm thinking the same. Perhaps a 2.5ft. tall hog wire, kinda like a child...or dog gate, used to block the entry. Still get air and light, and removable whenever. I've heard goats climb....not jump? Not sure bout that, lol.
@Garden366Ай бұрын
@@maggpie5552 Goats can jump over 3 feet and perhaps up to 4 ft depending on the type of goat. I’d just go ahead and put up doors and block any windows that have easy access. Once they can’t get in, they’ll turn their attention to something else on his property!

I've been watching your channel since the very first video on this house and I'll admit....I thought you guys were kind of insane 😂 Part of why I kept watching was because I absolutely could NOT see the vision you two had. I saw a cool piece of history but had no clue how it could ever be a functional modern home. That said, I finally see it. The final product will be unbelievably stunning, very much a slice of paradise. We get neatly packaged, time lapsed, 20-25 minute videos once or twice a week, but I can't imagine what it's been like actually working on this project in real, slow, tedious, back breaking time. I'm excited for you guys to be nearing the finish line where you get to reap the rewards! ♥🥳

Hi Brady, I've been following you for a while because I have a house more or less similar but smaller than yours, it's in Val Varaita in Piedmont, I'm from there, but as for the bathroom, if you want exposed stone I recommend a transparent waterproofing for humidity, protect the stone, then with a beautiful tile that matches the complete covering. Italian finishing products are the best you can find in the world, you are spoiled for choice. You will see that it will be a beautiful house. On the other hand, goats are cute, they are a bit annoying, they have become fond of them, you can use them as a burglar alarm or for milk. You are very good at everything you do, you have an excellent work team, people from Bergamo or Brescia can be heard from their accent, they are hard workers. Tantissimi saluti è buon lavoro..

Would love to see you hide a time capsule/treasure box for future inhabitants to find. Our family had a falling down, one room schoolhouse on our farm in the United States. It was built in the 1870's. When we took it apart, we found cartoons of the workers who built the school drawn on the inside of the walls. A tall skinny guy with a hat and beard like Abraham Lincoln, a short tubby guy in overalls, another wearing glasses and smoking a pipe, even a dog. (Maybe your daughters could draw a cartoon of goats to hide somewhere.) I greatly admire your family's optimistic sense of adventure and hard work, and the skills of the Italian craftsmen ... it's fantastic to see how far you've come. All the best to your family!

I found this while looking for goat. Goats can also cross our paths as reminders to blow off steam once in a while. Goats are playful and energetic and can be seen as signs to enjoy life and find opportunities to play games and have fun. / The goat totem, especially the mountain goat totem, reminds you to be fearless and confident. When climbing mountains, the worst thing you can do is look down. Sometimes difficult situations require a leap of faith, but you will succeed in the end so long as you’re on the correct path.
