As technology continues to infiltrate the very fabric of our society, there has never been a better time for investors to build funds that support and empower world-changing entrepreneurs. Steve Jurvetson, Co-Founder of Future Ventures (Future.Ventures), has been supporting transformative businesses for decades as an early investor in SpaceX, Tesla, Planet, and Memphis Meats; and as a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship (appointed by President Barack Obama). Watch this chat between Steve and Founder Institute CEO Adeo Ressi to learn about the technologies, trends, and strategies behind one of the world's foremost venture capital minds.
This event was hosted by Founder Institute's VC Lab, a free program helping new fund managers to launch their venture capital firms - learn more about VC Lab at FI.co/VC and see the full list of Founder Institute online events at FI.co/events

This is such a beautiful conversation to listen to: there's just so much to learn - from team dynamics to voting policies, human psychology, risk management, etc. Steve Jurvetson is a jewel. And Adeo too! :)

VCs seem to get a bad rep, a few of my otherwise reasonable friends despise them blanketly for reasons they can't give a good explanation for, however, my first introduction to VC as a "thing" was when I discovered Steve Jurvetson through following the work of Musk, and I've since basically watched every video of Steve's on KZbin, his enthusiasm on exciting technologies is infectious and it's a shame that not more people know about him. *Edit: dear host, please buy a decent microphone

thx for the interview. The interviewer needs a waaay better mic and improved room acoustics. Also consider putting the monitor of the interviewee next to the cam filming you

I would love to know Steve Jurvetson's personal IRR (he didn't mention it out of modesty, but I bet it would blow us away).

How can a person that doesn't have circumstances or the clout to have a platform get their ideas herd by the right people? What if the idea that could save the world gets left on the shelf and never gets a chance to make it.
