The Anti-Empire Project

The Anti-Empire Project

Күн бұрын

A lecture I gave on May 9 organized by the Canadian Association of Food Studies. The panel was a great one and the whole event is available on youtube. I've just excerpted my part here but the other talks were great. To watch the whole thing: • Food, Empire and Colon... .
Not a sit rep, I know - I'll have one tomorrow. This will tide you over.

Thanks for this I really needed to hear it. The Israeli soldier that killed my aunt Huda Hawarjeh in the Aida refugee camp of Bethlehem smiled on camera and said he was purifying the land. We never got justice and so much worse has happened but people will simply say it isn't true. This specific situation we have on camera and I appreciate the CBC covering it. The CBC report with interview I have uploaded to my youtube channel but it's famous online.

Terribly sorry for your loss and the deplorable insult to injury that is really second nature to the Israelis. I just wanted to say, I stopped listening/watching the CBC ever since covid, at that time it really hit home that they're nothing but a govt funded mouthpiece of the globalist/WEF agenda, although every once in a while they make a pretence of being fair and balanced, they serve the same rapacious and racist imperialist interest of most other Western govts.

Thank you Justin for this excellent overview of food deprivation used as an imperialist weapon to subdue native populations. In the 1990's I worked with an Iraqi engineer in the UK whose parents ran a children's hospital in Baghdad. Under sanctions their work of caring for children was made very difficult. They also noticed an acute rise in the number of deformed babies post the first US invasion of Iraq. This is likely due to the extensive use of depleted uranium anti tank shells. My friend also said that date palms along the Euphrates river never flowered properly and either never fruited or were deformed after that 1990 invasion.

Whether you focus on race/racism, public health/epidemiology, biology/ecology, sociology, any faucet, it is all by the book colonialism and imperialism 101. And this is set up purposely over the course of time. On a smaller scale this is how many of our cities and towns are set as well. Ecosystem is the first level of life and orchestrated death. Good to see you!

What we have now is what happens, over time, when political sociopaths are afforded adult authority in a society. A political sociopath is someone who is willing to do harm to another for the sake of opportunity, social capital, hierarchy, profit and/or pleasure.

The Great Hunger, which was an imposed famine on the Irish people by the Colonial brits, was only the half of it. Since the time of Cromwell, they systematically destroyed much of our ancient woodlands. It's a brit thing. That and cutting out your tongue for speaking your native language. Brits out.

Hi! Please don't block me I just want to ask one question, there is a guy named Sami Hamdi, he claims that there is a sectarian war( shia sunni) going in Syria and Assad is enabling this. He said this in an interview on 'The thinking Muslim' on 22 June 2024. So is it true? I heard this claim for the first time. PS: I support Assad, he is a very handsome guy😇.

Amazing historical perspective, underscoring the importance of looking at our shared history. This is why the Irish are all about Palestine, they know what genocide is. This is why so many North and South American native communities understand the struggles Palestinains are enduring, to regain their property, land and soverignty.

Glad you’re back and wow, kind of surprising but this show actually brought tears to my eyes. I knew that colonialism has used starvation as a weapon of war but the detail and extent of it as you described in this mini episode helped me grasp what an overwhelming crime against humanity it really was and is today. Then, that upset gave way to hope and gratitude for the brave heroes around the world fighting and dying to restore what colonialism has stolen from us. I know some people don’t like the phrase “land back” but it really does encapsulate the most basic form of justice, for all people, but especially indigenous people. To me at least. Thank you so much Justin.
