I haven’t seen her in nearly enough over the years but I really rate her. The Andor performance is subtle and almost small but she really sells the dread and paranoia she has to deal with on a constant basis. Mon Mothma is a swan: graceful but furiously paddling just below the surface to keep afloat.

One of the most iconic lines in the original trilogy is "Many Bothans died." And that line is delivered with such pathos that it lends an immediate depth to Mon Mothma that is lacking in many other Rebellion leaders. It's so great seeing that explored in such depth.

Genevieve is a fabulous actress, watch her face in the scene where the talk about a forced marriage for her daughter happens. That scene broke my heart

Andor is great because it showcases our obsessions & concessions be it good or bad. End of the day it's about being human. Sometimes we get washed along with the tsunami & smashed into cliffs & there are some of us who will defy all circumstances to survive. Real life very often throws us into a situation of choosing between the devil & the deep blue sea; challenges to our ideals & principles. Love the show!

I like Genevieve O'Reilly, but she wasn't particularly interesting or compelling in Andor unfortunately. I enjoyed more the mystique about her from Return of the Jedi up to Rogue One. I got that she's a besieged good person in a world of evil who is forced to make sacrifices for her cause, but it's too bad it was in Andor.
