The clearest reference to Rebels that I found in season 1 of Andor was during one of the ISB meetings that mentioned increased activity on Kessel. The two part intro to Rebels includes the crew freeing Wookiee slaves and Kanan exposing himself as a Jedi on Kessel.

People kept saying nobody asked for Solo, and that they wanted an Obi-Wan movie. As a fan of the A.C. Crispin trilogy, I was the opposite. While I was disappointed they did a different story, I still enjoyed Solo, and I also enjoyed Kenobi. My disappointment is that they have yet to follow up on Han's story. We don't even have Lando yet.

Loved the first season. My only criticism with it was I really wished they developed deep on how the Empire treats alien species to get the sense of how awful the Empire is to different species. I feel like it would've mirrored well with what we see and hear today. Excited for the second season, although the time jumps after 3 episodes does worry me as I feel like it'll just rush through Cassian's and the rebel's story. Otherwise, can't wait. 14:00: plain and nothing special seems like the perfect cover up for what actually happened. I think we might get a brand new origin story but Andor and K2 maintain the original story as a cover up. Like I imagine Andor would explicitly tell K2 "if anyone asks, [comic book story] is how we met"

I don’t think cameos are gonna happen. Andor has been very careful to (with the exception of Yularen) only have cameos of characters who appear in Rogue One. I don’t think we’re gonna get Freddie as Kanan, or Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera, because Andor very closely tied to Rogue One

This is kind of what I've been hoping for. A sequel series that picks up immediately Rogue One/A New Hope, that continues the storylines that Andor didn't have time to finish. Mon would be the obvious pick for the protagonist as she's the only main character who we know survives. But even if that isn't what they decided to do, I hope the team behind Andor can continue in some way, especially considering how we were going to get 5 seasons at one point.

Sadly though I'm not sure if we'll get more shows of this high producation quality considering just how expensive it is, I'm hoping this next season has significantly higher viewshiper than the first, especially with how much word of mouth I've seen about it after the show ended.

Cassian doesn't really know about the Jedi by Rogue One so it wouldn't make a ton of sense. And Kanan visited Yavin like once.

@Solo13508 Cassian had been in the resistance for a while by Rogue One. He would have definitely heard about Jedi. Kanan died 1 bby. Plenty of time for a cameo. It would just be a cool nod. Ezra's radio transmission would have made waves too. There's nothing to say their paths wouldn't cross at some point.

@@kieronimo1 He may have indeed heard about the Jedi, but hasn't necessarily had any practical interactions with say, Ahsoka, or Kanan. Remember that in R1, when Chirrut fought the Stormtroopers, Cassian asked Baze if Chirrut was a Jedi.

What sold Andor to me was when it was announced Mon Mothma was returning to charter the political side of the formation of the rebellion. Something that was really lacking in ROTS.

My money is on a big part of Mon’s arc is building that alliance. In Rogue One, her focus was very much on maintaining what seemed to be a very fragile alliance with some elements groups being on the edge of just giving up at news of the Death Star from Jyn. I think getting the Mon Calamari involved will be an essential element of the actual armed Rebellion

I think a good distinction to make, is the difference between a character Cameo and an actor cameo. And I think that the show has some good potential for some good actor cameos. For instance, Sean Asten or Ke Huy Quan playing secret one-off roles for the show.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people complain about the sequel trilogy should have “Heir To The Empire” or some other adventure that takes place shortly after the Battle of Endor. When you point out that Disney would have needed to recast the roles of Luke, Han, and Leia, they claim that “deep fake” has gotten to be pretty good. They must not know or realize that “deep fake” technology came along well after the fact. Disney had a choice. Recast the main characters, or tell a story that reflects the fact that the actors had aged 30 years. I have only one bone to pick with the sequel trilogy. The episodes should have been numbered 10, 11, and 12.

I hope Disney does not get burned again by other streaming services AGAIN because they have announced an exact release date for Andor Season 2 so far in advance. The other services like to drop and entire season of episodes on the Disney shows, which depresses Disney viewership numbers.
