Sabine is a weapons designer. That means not only could she get the shield going, she could potentially get good cannons set up to keep ships out or range. Maybe the Empire decided that dealing with a planet that defeated his most brilliant tactician and has a Mandalorian inventor of super weapons isn't worth throwing resources at. As the Empire already had to deal with Mandalorian Space rebelling, and a Rebel Alliance of many peoples forming around the Galaxy.

How to prepare for the attack. - Shields, lots of shield generators. - Ion canons to shoot at Destroyers that are in orbit. - Fighters / bombers. How to fund it all; In the thrawn novel pryce was in the process of turning Lothal into the manufactoring heart of the outer rim, as it has loads of resources etc. So IMO the lothal we see at the end of rebels is just an echo-friendly, non corrupt / turn the planet to ash version of that. QOTD: What did Kallus do during the OT. I think that he would have stayed on the ghost crew, I think outside of childbirth / childcare that Hera would return to the fight in some capacity, and that Zeb Rex and Kallus would all be in / around her work.
@DavidWalker19876 жыл бұрын
Nah - just because the countryside was ablaze from those miner hover forge things, doesnt mean the world has been fully strip mined. Also thrawn had his tie defender mass production set up there (or it was to be set up). I doubt hed have done that if there was no long term plan for it to remain there. I think the reason the Empire didnt come back (initially) is that Scarif / Rogue 1 happens almost immediately afterwards. Thinking like 2-3 weeks max... and then after that the fate of one backwater world light years from the core is insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Well, we know from Sabine's monologue during the Rebels epilogue that Kallus wasn't told or shown Lira San until after the war. With the kind of skills Kallus has, there's no way Hera wouldn't have taken him with her to the Rebellion after the Empire was kicked off of Lothal, and I imagine he would have gone without her had she decided to stay on Lothal to defend it. This is the guy who took over as Fulcrum, after all, and not only operated under Thrawn's nose, he was able to remain undetected for quite some time. He was even able to evade identification for a wee bit even after Thrawn knew someone in his command was Fulcrum, and was able to escape after Thrawn had figured out who he was. Kallus would have definitely been one of the Rebellion's top intelligence commanders. I could see him and General Madine working very closely together in the planning and execution of Rebel strikes against the Empire, and Kallus would have been instrumental in providing counter-intelligence against any Imperial attempts to infiltrate the Rebellion or acquire intelligence on the Rebellion's activities. In my personal head canon, I imagine that it was Kallus who was the one in charge of the Bothan team who acquired the information on the second Death Star.

First, Sabine never left Lothal. She remained on the planet to protect it in Ezra's place to honor him of his heroic deeds. This is why she left the Rebel Alliance and never went back to Mandalore to help her family and people, which cause a problem with her mother that Sabine would remain on a planet that has nothing to do with Mandalore. This upsets Sabine how her mother would jst say that, about Ezra. Which is why she no longer has on her jetpack and Mandalorian Vambraces, because she gave up half of her Mandalorian pride. Since then, she watches Lothal to prevent any hostiles to harm the people and she uses her blasters and Ezra's lightsaber to defend the people of Lothal, being the Proctor of Lothal, like Fenn Rau who is the Protector of Cornard Dawn. Second, Ezra's lightsaber and Luke's lightsaber are different each other. Sabine is the owner of Ezra's lightsaber due to how all her lightsaber trainning doesn't go to waste and would use it to fight bandits, pirates, and outlaws. Seeing how it's the same lightsaber she use to fight Gar Saxxon and to honor Ezra and Kanan for helping her to help her people. Now do a video talking about the bag that Sabine brought with her to find Ezra. Because I think I know what's in the bag, I just want to explain on that video.

I really don't get how Filloni can say Sabine doesn't love Ezra when she literally stayed on lothal. His home for five years and protected it. That's a huge amount of dedication for one person to undertake.
@davido.12336 жыл бұрын
All the theories you mentioned kinda opened up a possible scenario I formed while watching this video! I think Sabine was periodically going off-world to do some things, like keeping in contact with her family and friends in the rebellion, but not participating in any particularly big battles. It's possible she was keeping contacts with a few key powers who would keep the empire occupied in the GCW, but for all intents and purposes, she stayed out of the main conflict. I'm also guessing that the Mandalorians who were loyal to her helped her in some way to be Lothal's protectors since it was Ezra who helped them win their planet back. In that sense, Rao, Ketsu, and Tristan might have periodically visited Sabine on Lothal, while Mandalorian ships had a makeshift blockade around the planet in case of any possible appearance by the Empire. As to why the Empire never interfered or sent another star destroyer could be because the Emperor openly chose to divert his power towards the Death Star, in such a way that he literally had to choose where his resources would go and he chose Star Dust and everything that it contained. Since Thrawn technically failed his mission at keeping the TIE Defender program running and also failed to defeat Ezra or the Rebels, the Emperor probably felt that Lothal was no longer a threat, even if the inhabitants did technically defeat his imperial forces. Think of it like this: In Dragon Age Inquisition, you have a choice to approach one of two powers to help you finish the Act 1 goal of sealing a massive rift in the sky. Your choices are Mages and Templars. You can only choose one of them! Whichever one you choose, the opposite becomes a more fearsome enemy (if you side with the mages, for example, you face down a force called the Red Templars) and vice versa. It's the same here. Palpatine had to divert his energy to facing one enemy, not two. If he pulled his resources to fighting Lothal, the Rebellion would have grown in strength and might have been able to seize Scariff, held the Empire's entire database, and learned all its secrets, including where the Death Star was and how to defeat it, not to mention all the other things the Empire had planned. They would have then plotted a way to either defeat Palpatine sooner or made their own series of weapons capable of defeating the Empire at equal strength. In the End, Palpatine's choice, while strategically sound, in focusing on the larger rebellion and Star Dust, was futile nonetheless! As to your question of the day: I'm pretty sure Kallus stayed with Rebel Command and used his intel to plan future strikes and information gathering for the Rebellion. It's possible he was tasked with getting the Rebellion new bases or finding out the new Death Star Plans were after the first one was destroyed (and sending a task force of Bothans after it).

I think it was only the fuel depot that was destroyed and most to all the factories were still intact, just not operational. Once online again rebuilding would've been easier. As for the issue of supplying the rebellion they had Hondo and Vizago and also probably used the same methods relied on to ship the alliance fighters and other needed stuff from other sources. While not mentioned anywhere that I've seen I think Lothal probably played a vital role to the rebellion by helping with manufacturing equipment and supplies and also in keeping an eye on the empire's actions in nearby systems. With at least Hera in the alliance itself Lothal and the alliance would've had a good liaison for communication and representation.

That is a great video, Mike. To answer your question, I think Kallus returned to the Rebellion after the series finale of Star Wars Rebels and went to Zeb's homeworld after the end of the war. Plus, the reason why the Empire didn't return to Lothal is because some time after that event the Battle of Scarif occurred along with the theft of the plans for the Death Star. This surely distracted the Empire from going back to reclaim the planet. Check Wookieepedia, that is where I found the answer.

Great Video Mike. If is True? Luke just followed the force to go on a visited to planet Lothal. Sabine gives a green lightsaber crystal to Luke before he rescued Han Solo at Jabba's Palace in Return of the Jedi.. Like I said before. Sabine staying lothal for 5 years to help citizens in that community. Meanwhile Emperor Palpatine's plan has failed on Lothal. thanks to Ezra to save his home planet.. The Emperor is too busy about to rebuild a new Death Star... more importantly he's more interested about Luke Skywalker all this time. how badly that he wants the Young Apprentice to betray his own father Darth Vader AKA Anakin Skywalker. if Sabine was prepared to protect the planet with the energy Shield. Sabine is very smart to Keep the planet covered..She don't want any happen.She will keep her promise for Ezra... if Ezra Bridger comes back to his home planet after 5-year absence that could be a emotional moment to come back home as a hero. #sabezra #ezralives

Well if you think about it, the factories on Lothal were pretty much destroyed and Thrawn was gone, so there wasn’t much incentive for the empire to come back. Plus that was around the time that the Death Star was destroyed, which would have caused a financial crisis, and could have caused the empire to focus on their economy instead of rebuilding the factories on Lothal.
@kiku-goldenflower77316 жыл бұрын
Technically only the fuel reserve for the factories were destroyed, enough to stop production but enough would be left to meek rebuilding and repurpose the factories fairly easy. So they would not be churning out ships on the same scale or quantity as the empire would have bur theyd definitely be able to make a few. The favorites could also help with making materials to help with rebuilding and selling excess ships, speeders shields etc to the rebellion and other non imperial groups could account for the surge in planetary wealth. I'd also like to point out that the idea that Luke may have been given Ezra's light saber has been one I've had for a while and mentioned several times. I've been trying to find a decent picture of Ezra's lightsaber hilt to compare with Luke's but can't seem to find one. There are plenty for his first lightsaber but little with any decent level of detail for his second. It makes confirming/disproving the theory difficult. If this did happen then it's probably around the time that the rebellion finally tells Luke about his Jedi rebel predecessors, or perhaps having been told about Ezra and that Sabine had his light saber he went looking for it after loosing his father's saber.

Kallus's presence in the Rebellion would have been extremely beneficial because of all of his information and knowledge about the imperial ways. Then again, I don't think he would be rushing back to enter battle after he finally found peace in the new world with Zeb. So it's really a hard question 😕🤷
@darthtroller6 жыл бұрын
I think Sabine also provides Mandalore tactical support that will make them weaken the Empire, at least the part that attacks Lothal, and then as result, not only Lothal and Sabine are written out of the OT, but Mandalore as well, I think all these ideas should be combined, and Kallus as a Fulcrum agent should be able to discover Imperial plans before they take place which explains why he will find information about Imperial attacks on Lothal before they take place and inform Sabine in advance, he's written out as well, if Mandalore isn't helping Sabine, then Zeb and Hera can occasionally hell Sabine

My theory for why the Empire didn't came back was because the Rebellion was becoming more bigger and powerful, and that meant a threat to the Empire so they had to focus on them rather than to keep waisting resources on Lothal.

Sabine likely got some support from Mandalore at the very least from her clan in protecting and rebuilding Lothal. In return the people of Lothal likely made weapons for Bo-Katarn's anti-Imperial Mandalorian faction. Which would explain why and how Lothal got so wealthy and could rebuild so fast as Mandalorian space is vast - over a thousand systems - and thus very wealthy. It also helps explain why the Empire never attacked as doing so would certainly lead them into a major confrontation with the Mandalorian faction opposed to them which would prove very costly it's therefore likely that Palpatine was waiting for his Death Star to be finished before doing anything to retake the Lothal sector - which we know is adjacent to Mandalorian space. Of course when the Rebellion blew up the Death Star that plan was well and truly buggered. Now onto the question of the day. I suspect that Kallus like the rest of the crew of the Ghost went back to the rebellion. In all likelihood he took the place on the crew vacated by Sabine i.e as there intelligence and demolition specialist.

I'm not sure if Zeb's people helped in the fight but it is possible that they became the many/few allies for the rebellion if necessary. After all, it's not like the Empire came to their world again since only Zeb can make it possible for anyone with him to enter his world last I checked. When he wasn't with them, Kallus probably worked in Rebellion intelligence; I'm sure the rebellion had that as it grew.

While it's a cool idea, here's my issue with Sabine giving Luke Ezra's lightsaber. It really seems like Sabine treasures Ezra's memories, so I think she would have too much of an emotional attachment to the lightsaber to give it up. Also, since she's trained in saber combat I like to think she would've kept Ezra's lightsaber in case she needed to use it to defend the planet.

Everybody talking about Sabine protecting Lothal. In reality if the Empire attacked she couldn't stop them. She is just one person, and Lothal is just one world. The whole reason the rebel alliance has to retreat and abandon their base every time it's discovered is because its impossible to hold out against the Galactic Empire, as they possess galactic resources and overwhelming military force. The only thing stopping the Empire from returning would be a lack of conviction, which is awfully pragmatic (as I would expect them to make an example of Lothal through decimation or something. It does feel out of character that they just let it go).

Going back to Luke getting Ezra's lightsaber from Sabine. I don't think he did. While Luke's lightsaber does have a green kiber crystal in it that's really the only similarity they share, and would take away from Luke's abilities as a Jedi. Creating your own working lightsaber is a part of a Jedi's growth. Remember in Return of the Jedi when Darth Vader says "so you've constructed a new lightsaber, your Skills are complete." The style of their lightsabers is similar, but the colors, and the overall designs are way different.

I'd bet money on this about Callus....he's the captain of the medical frigate redemption seen in TESB and ROTJ. Why else would they take a frigate to visit zebs planet? If it were Callus' ship, that makes sense. Also the frigate's name "redemption" is too perfect for his character not to be true. His experience commanding capital ships for the empire makes him perfect for the job. Lastly, it retcons him into a position within the movies, which is important.

With civil war in full swing and the destruction of the Death Star, retribution to an outer rim planet like Lothal might not be worth it. I know this is old but how about this... Sabine has dreams. Or at least she thinks they're dreams but are actually visions of Ezra. Personally, I wouldn't call what happened in Season 4 "Falling in Love" but rather "Growing Closer" (it's difficult since she so rarely talks about her feelings).The focus being on a strengthening bond between them. Not explicitly romantic or platonic but a bond regardless. At first the dreams are reassuring, a warmth in the cold night. Then a reminder of what she has lost, but never cold. Over time, with some looks at Ezras saber(which she starts keeping with her), she starts to think there is more to her dreams. That they might not be dreams at all and could be proof that Ezra is still alive. Ahsokas arrival proves to her that she's right. Now Ahsoka has a promise to fulfill in finding Ezra, and she needs something to lead the way. Both Ahsoka and Sabine believe that it's Ezras saber(specifically the crystal) that is providing a link to him that they could follow in some way. Only later to deduce that it's actually Sabine herself that is the link to him. Their time together formed a bond, a force bond of sorts, amplified by their time on Lothal that will allow her to navigate their ship to find Ezra. Lothal is a pretty special but subtle place. Kanan, then Ezra, now Sabine have all been guardians of the planet in some form. This duty and the force sensitive nature of the planet and its inhabitants, has had an effect on her and it's in the form of a bond with Kanan and specifically Ezra. This bond and sense of duty has got to be strong for Sabine to not be drawn back home at some point considering the Empire is still active. This bond is to Lothal and to Ezra. Which is why she stays, why she stays in Ezras tower, why she still paints her friends, and why she goes with Ahsoka to find Ezra. Because she can feel that he's still alive (Leia in ESB) and can lead the way. She "knows" where he is and she's going to bring him home. Yes, Sabine can feel the Force, even if it's only from this bond. Which is all the more reason why Ahsoka is there for her.
