There are options besides Luke's doomed Jedi Academy. Ahsoka and Ezra are out there, remember, and are close to Hera. She'd more likely trust them with Jacen than Luke. We'd just have force wielding good guys with lightsabers that aren't Jedi.

The way I understand how Saw Gerrera got added to Rouge One is they had this radical resistance fighter character and they asked if there was someone like that already. That would be how a Rebels character would be added to Episode 9. There is a character in the story that matches one of the characters from Rebels. They won't go out of there way to add one.

Was Jacen Syndulla flying the ghost in episode 9? As seen in 2 scenes of the movie we couldn’t get any glimpse of who was in the cockpit at least not a clear glimpse.

I think he will be probably hopefully in the next animation series as well that would be pretty cool along with all of the characters from Star Wars rubbles at least some of them do you know Sabine Asoka and Ezra. Well. Since Rey and the remainder of the resistance is headed somewhere in the outer rim to meet up with " allies" that Battlefront 2 left off, its possible as far as characters may include Zay and Streb based on information given by Leia. Jacen Syndulla is possible!! To me? It just seems like overall everybody is meeting and getting together for a showdown against the first order, characters from maybe TCW or SWR? We have to just wait and see episode 9 or an action adventure movie in between.

Tanequa Woodson, Jacen is older than Kylo and Rey, he would be at least mid thirties and Hera would be in her Sixties. Ezra is the same age as Luke & Leia.

Maybe Jacen could have been Force sensitive and one of the students at Luke's new Jedi Academy. He never finished his training because of Ben Solo's fall to the dark side and massacre. One of the few survivors Luke didn't know about. And I do believe there were others who lived though that. The idea of him being a former Jedi in training is interesting. Him becoming part of the Resistance afterwards would be his way of getting back at Ben for what he did. I believe Leia saying there were allies might be a pretty big clue to characters like these at least getting mentioned. Jacen training Rey is another idea that could work. Him or Ahsoka would do.

How about a piece about how certain Jedi and Sith have been particularly adept at certain aspects of the Force? For example, Ezra certainly was good at communicating with other lifeforms. In the Zahn books, a young Anikan was good with droids and other mechanical devices, fixing them with his Force abilities. It seems to me that Jedi abilities were as varied as the individual Jedi. On the subject of variation, what about the whole clone thing? The ultimate test of nature vs. nurture. Look how so many clones developed such distinct characters over time. Where would Ashoka be without her faithful friend Rex? As for Jacen Syndulla, I can see him running off to join the resistance as a pilot, just like his mother did. Sure, the kid may be Force sensitive, but not every sensitive will go on to develop the skills. Look at Corran Horn. It wasn't until he was a grown man that he even learned that the Force ran in his family, and he was quite happy to live without it for the longest time.

I would make him a minor resistance pilot who is in a scene or two with Finn and Poe then a book series about his time between rebles finale and episode 9. I would also put Hera, in more time scenes as a major charecter who works as a mentor to Poe on how to lead that way you keep focus on a lead like Poe

I understand why folks are saying that Rebels characters are “deep cuts” and are less likely to show up in the films. However, as you pointed out, they did it with Saw, and I think that that’s the potential model for bridging the non-film canon with the episodes. In TLJ they set up something huge in announcing the presence of Resistance allies in the Outer Rim. And by the end of the film, there’s only a small group of Resistance personnel that survived the escape from the base. So meeting some of these or hearing about them feels incredibly likely, as they struggle to rebuild. Snap and others weren’t with them, and neither were Zay and Shriv from Battlefront II who are known quantities...so there are known characters “out there” who could potentially just show up in Episode IX to help reinforce the Resistance’s dwindling numbers. They don’t need to be explained other than, “These are the allies we called. They were held down by First Order campaigns after the destruction of the Hosnian System and attack on D’Qar,” or something. They don’t need to be major players in Episode IX, but simply present, just as much as Billie Lourd was in VII and VIII. I could see this being pulled off elegantly, and it would go a long way in possibly winning favor with those “hardcore fans” who have been soured by TLJ and the lack of integration of the books, comics, and animated series into the films. Aside from the Resistance, after VIII, Rey is also actively rebuilding Force-wielding forces (Jedi?) to challenge Kylo Ren. Similarly, she could come across a little known “order” of Force adherents who are neither Jedi nor Sith via Maz. This group could have known about Luke, maybe when he reached out to them in his adventures between RoTJ and TFA, but the group rejected his call to rebuild the Jedi Order because their beliefs (experience of their elders/master) taught them that the Jedi way was not the proper path. This is because this group, who was founded on the teachings of an old Togruta named Master Tano (who could be dead or left mysteriously reclusive in the actual Episode IX) who, since the fall of the Jedi Order / Rise of the Empire, had been gathering, protecting, and teaching what she calls “Children of the Force” because, in her wisdom, she had been operating under a nugget of wisdom that just happens to directly coincide with a major theme of TLJ: “That's how we're gonna win. Not fighting what we hate...saving what we love.” Admittedly just building off the ideas you and others have already put out there and love your channel. I really think they could “Saw” in Rebels characters despite general audiences’ lack of familiarity. They just need to offer enough info, even work off of the language of archetypes, so that audiences don’t feel like they’re missing anything. For example, when we met Obi-Wan, Yoda, Lando, Mothma, and Ackbar in the OT, or Poe, San Tekka, Finn, Rey, Maz, Paige, and Rose in the ST, we didn’t know any of their backstories. Audiences, “hardcore” and newcomers alike, just went with it. It happens in films all the time. But there’s a way to do it well. And given the state of the fandom at the moment, it’d be smart to do in Episode IX.

According to the timeline of Rebels, Jacen was born around 1BBY, and we see Hera with Han Solo and Leia after the Battle of Endor in 4ABY in the Forces of Destiny tv series. Ben Solo was born in 5ABY. This makes it seem logical to me that if Jacen was force-sensitive (I like to think he was), he would have joined Luke's jedi academy. I like to think he might have even been a mentor or such to Ben. I would like to think he did not join the Knights of Ren, but I wouldn't be angry if it turns out he did! I have a personal head-cannon that Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree had a force-sensitive daughter named Wynett (Nettie) Jude Kyrell a year after Ben Solo was born and that the two of them trained together at Luke's academy. Jacen was a mentor to both of them, and the three had a strong bond and formed the initial "Knight's of Ren". But when Jacen and Nettie realized Ben's intentions were darker than they could have ever imagined, they, much like Luke, turned on him, further fueling his anger and rage towards the Jedi.

I think there's a reasonable chance that Jacen could show up in episode 9. I wouldn't pin all my hopes and dreams on it. But I don't think it would be a stretch to include him. He doesn't have to be a major character or a cameo in order to include him. I personally love your idea of him training alongside Rey. I think it needs to be remembered that Kylo isn't the only knight of Ren. Considering that in both The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi made a point to tell us that I'll be disappointed if they don't use them in the next movie. With that in mind Rey's going to going to need all the help she can get because I can't see Kylo pulling a Voldemort and demand that he be the only one allowed to kill Rey. If you think about if they make so that he's untrained or make it look like Rey's been training him then they don't have to explain anything about his parents. Most of the characters have backgrounds we don't ever see addressed on screen. It's practically a hallmark of Star Wars. There is also the possibility of using Jacen as a knight of ren and that would require no explanation. But that would probably mean the reveal was in the visual dictionary. Personally I'd hope he ends up being a jedi in the long run.

in my opinion jacen will become the new generation han solo... his mother is/was one of the best flyers of the rebellion and it would be cool if he ended up with the faulcon and chewie taking him under his wing like he did for solo, seeying how solo is gone and chewie will need a new copilote... because not that the porg ain't cute but i doubt he would be a great pilote that would just be wtf.. we also know his mother has for friends vizago, hando, lando and all so he has alot of pilots, captains, smugglers, pirates, etc surrounding him and that could be an influence to him... would also be cool if he had the force and all but i think him becoming a bad ass pilote is more likely then him becoming a jedi at least for now since we know ezra ain't around no more, kannan is dead and ahsoka left to find ezra, maybe he will be trained later though but he will definitly start off as a pilote in my opinion...

Really, I don't think you need to change too much about the channel, if at all. I like the get togethers you have with Official Bossk, so if I was going to suggest anything you could change, it would maybe to see if you can do the same with other channel owners, though probably not as often as you do with Bossk, otherwise your channel would be nothing but collaborations with other channels. Though that might not be a bad thing, either. You could bring in your subscribers' theories with your chats with the others and see how they react to those theories, too. Other than that, the only thing I can think of is possibly seeing if you can get some form of interview/chat with some of the voice actors, writers, or even The Filoni Himself. We could submit questions to ask them, and then run rampant with speculation...er, I mean, come up with theories based on their answers. I think it would be great to hear from people like Ashley Eckstein, or Sam Witwer, or (dare I even dream it?) Pablo Hidalgo.

Syndulla is supposed to be a tribute to Jacen Solo Filoni wanted to please Jacen fans by bringing our beloved character back into canon in some way So I hope that if Syndulla continues to develop, it will be like the Jacen from the YJK and NJO books, and not Troy Denning's completely ooc version Besides, if Mara Jade ever returned to the canon, it would be pleasantly ironic if she trained Syndulla knowing that Jacen and Mara were ruined by the Denningverse. Jacen Syndulla could be a cool star a new animated series. I agree he is not likely to be in Episode 9 unless it was as a "Easter Egg" cameo. I do not agree Jacen would be training with Rey. In age, he should be older than her and Kylo/Ben Solo. Since Kanan died before the events of the original trilogy and assuming at least a 20 year gap between episode 6 and 7, that should put him being at least 10 years older than Rey or Kylo. I would want to see him as a Force sensitive if not Jedi. But other than Ahsoka or being part of Luke's Jedi Academy/Training Temple, how would he get training in the Force? And if, as Kanan's son, Jacen were to have Force sensitivity how would that manifest without training? Those are some interesting questions to answer in a story arch for this character. BTW, Mike.... Have you ever commented on the question of whether Snoke was "created" by Luke Skywalker? Since we are led to believe The Force balanced Kylo Ren by "awakening" Rey's Force abilities, could Snoke have similarly arose to balance Luke?

Leia, one of the leaders of the rebellion, and Hera one of the general's of the rebellion Know each other. Leia would ether have Luke check the Jacen, or do it her self if she could. If the Jacen is not Force sensitive. He stays with Hera, and becomes a pilot. If he is Force sensitive, he goes to Lukes school, and is ether a Knight of Ren, or died at the school.

At least a mention of a pilot named Jacen Syndulla would tie canon together and be cool. But, how about the possibility of Barris Offee assuming General Organa's position? No one can replace Carrie Fisher, and they should not try. To take Poe out of the cockpit to have him take command would be poor use of a character. However, an actress playing a 70s-80s y/o Offee would keep the commanding character female. She is also Force sensitive.

While it would be cool to see a force sensitive Jacen Syndulla as a Jedi - possibly trained by Ezra hence why Luke didn't know about him - in the next movie I really don't think we will. JJ Abrams is too arrogant to include characters from the animated shows. The most were likely to get are name drops and a glimpse of the Ghost just like we got in Rogue One.

actually there are still plenty of living jedi's... k'kruhk, ahsoka, ezra possibly, we know alot have traveled through the unexplored parts of the galaxy so they might've survived, then there are the force sensitive children ezra and ahsoka saved, and force sensitive children there continues to be... we also know a whole bunch of jedi's survived order 66 and fled/hide but its possible some of them trained padawans, or were never found by vador the emperor or the inquisitors... luke remade a jedi temple, even though it was destroyed and some of his students became the knights of ren its likely some of them were not in the temple when the attack happened... we also know for a fact that rey wasn't the first person to find luke on his hermit island, possibly surviving jedi's or people looking for his teachings or rebels or who ever ... we still won't know t'ill 2020 what kenoby was up to on tattooine maybe he also met up some other jedi's or they found him like ezra did.... there are still loads of possibilities

From my point of view Jacen could actually be a more likely character to see in IX than ezra or anyone else of the ghost crew and this is because he is no one so there should be no one in the cinema actually freaking out while some people are scratching their heads in confusion

Jacen won't be in episode 9, he will have a small role Star Wars Resistance season 3 with Ezra, Sabine, and the rest of the Ghost crew and will be one of the main leading characters for this TV series known as The Gray Jedi Adventures, where he helps a team of resistance rebels against the First Order. In the first episode, Jacen is saved by a ten year old orphan girl named Tesna Sejo, and she can create illusions with the Force. She would become Jacen's apprantice as they fight side by side against the First with their friends including Ahsoka, Hera, and Chopper. And not just the First Order, but members to the Knights of Ren, including Kylo Ren, and some Nightsisters. Ezra and Sabine will be the ones in episode 9, because they have a special role in it, as the remaining Rebel Resistance arrives on Mandalore to meet them. And well done with the picture of the villains from The Clone Wars to be next to the Ghost crew, and after that is Luke and Kylo. I wish Boba Fett, Cad Bane, and Asajji Ventriss would have been in Star Wars Rebels.

marc fischer yes, however Talzin is still alive and wasn't shown getting killed in The Clone Wars. Therefore, she made new Nightsisters, which she has a younger daughter at the same age as Tesna, who she becomes friends with, only for her to use Tesna's friendship to learn about her Resistance team and to find out where The Gray Jedi temple is.

Episode IX will be at least 35 years after Return Of the Jedi. Jacen could've been dead by episode IX. I don't know. It's just a theory.

Here is my single biggest quirk. Hera just admitted her love for Kanan right before he died. So how did she get pregnant with his kid if they were not actually in love, and when did they "do it"? Basically, how in the hell is Jacen even a possibility???

Okay, just a bite of reality here. Aside from the Skywalker family, how many Jedi has anyone heard of who had children who were Force-sensitive? I think that canon should have Jacen Syndulla be one Hell of a pilot, but Kanan was not a Skywalker, so the chances that Jacen is force-sensitive are pretty slim.
