My favorite is the dark saber, not just the mandalorian saber. The color itself is awesome because it represents an angry individual but not a hate filled individual (which is the main difference between a red saber and dark saber). I think the sith don’t like dark saber wielders because they couldn’t turn them as easily, since they were already corrupted but not in hateful way.

Yea i love how much hype that content creators generated for Disney. White could have 2 meanings 1 it could mean a force user in neutral with the force, not siding with one or the other but just being purely one with the very force itself, puting them in a neutral state and position 2 it could symbolise a return from the darkside of the force, someone who's gone far into the dark side of the force and has managed to successfully return from it and drained their crystal afterwards

When I was a child my father made me a lightsaber from a flashlight, some thin white tubing and back then a cap from a 60ml syringe. I didn’t want to tell him I was disappointed because it wasn’t red, blue, or green (I grew up watching the original trilogy over and over) so to me those were the only colours a lightsaber should be. And I was thinking about this now that I have a child who loves StarWars. But I saw a video about Asoka’s lightsabers on a KZbin video and got back to remembering lightsaber my dad made for me, and I wasn’t disappointed anymore because not knowing it I had one of the rarest lightsaber blades in the StarWars galaxy. I just didn’t know it at the time.

I always liked that whole idea of balance or mixes. In my head mine was always purple or yellow/orange. But I had once imagined a a maroon light saber. This was before the cannon so I imagined I killed sith and put a purple crystal in the sith lightsaber with both crystals. So it was like a reclaimed saber. But what's crazy is I imagined the main bad guy having a black saber before there was one. And it also was black with white light sounding it. Mine is probably white. Not only because last name,but I can relate when I heal myself from stressful situations and how I hate the sith, but also think the jedi are to strict on rules to limit potential. Edit: my build however is a staff,as I feel like I would be fluent with block with one and spinning before my opponent could go defensive again. Purple seems like a lightsaber color for force users who can use both light and dark side powers, mace and Revan could both do this and both used purple lightsabers.

Purple is for the jedis that are close to the dark side (in some aspect) and control it. Mace Windu's style of form 7 is one that uses ferocity meaning it was very close to the darkside of the force yet, Mace found a way to use this and control it. Making the variation into a more defensive counter style rather than the intent to kill that that rare and sometimes forbidden form has.

Efrain Cordero It’s probably why purple is so rare. Very few Jedi could ever maintain balance and control over the dark side of the force without it consuming them. This explains why Mace was such an exceptional Jedi. Honestly, come to think of it, Luke lived an incredibly unorthodox life for a Jedi and walked between the light and dark many times. I think purple would actually be a fitting colour for him to use after episode 6.
