What I really love about Krayt's story is how it brings the entire EU together. Almost every era of the EU plays a role in shaping his destiny, so having him as the main villain in Legacy makes it feel like the culmination of the whole EU timeline. Having the villain be a byproduct of everything that has happened in the Saga is really cool, IMO.

What they should do is re-introduce A’Sharad in the Kenobi series and have the famous duel. It will be in the literal same area of time as it is set to take place. Also, it could foreshadow Darth Krayt being the main antagonist of episode X, XI, and XII. They literally have a perfect shot at doing this if the execs at Disney even knew who Darth Krayt is. Hopefully with George on board it will be a possibility. If Rey is still in the franchise by then, she’s gonna have some damn work cut out for her.

A'Sharad Hett / Darth Krayt is one of my favourite Jedi AND Sith, behind Qui-Gon and Yoda for Jedi and Palpatine and Vader for the Sith respectively. I have always liked Sandpeople, so a Sandpeople Jedi would always win me over and as a Sith he chose his Sith name from the most dangerous creature from his home planet, such a cool character. Yes, the sequels are not the best imo, but the mandalorian, rogue one, rebels, and clone wars 08 are just great pieces of canon. As well as some of the new books like Dooku: Jedi Lost. Easily my Top 5 favorite Sith of all time and my favorite Modern Sith of all time who is not an Ancient Sith that mainly dominate my top 5 list as well as one of the BEST EU characters I am glad he remains outside of canon as I don’t want Disney “Lucasfilm” to desecrate this amazing character. He has the most character development as well as a long arc stemming from The Clones Wars to The Sith Imperial Wars basically this guy lived a Lifespan so long to serve the Galactic Republic/Jedi Order with Anakin to over a century and a half to attempt to turn Cade Skywalker as an ally to his One Rule Sith Empire a goal that ultimately led to his demise. I also LOVED in Fate Of The Jedi Apocalypse how he and Grandmaster Luke Skywalker confront Abeloth for the Final time at The Lake Of Apparitions epik moment in Star Wars Literature one of A’Sharad Hett/ Darth Krayt’s BEST moments for me along with him conversing and relating with Anakin after that heated moment, his duel and loss against Obi Wan Kenobi something else both he and Anakin also would share followed by his drifter arc going through depression and frustration which we can all relate to, and obviously when he becomes the One True Dark Lord and becomes the main Antagonist. He is also a Top Tier powerhouse as a Sith easily up there with Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine, Exar Kun, Darth Nihilus, Emperor Vitiate/Valkorion, Darth Bane that level.
