Always like seeing what creators make with their stash and approx. how much yarn was eaten up by the project, so very enjoyable video! Hope you feel better soon and congratz on the 1k subs!

Lovely to see all your projects. Your knitting machine projects are really interesting. I remembered a knitting machine surge in the 80s. There would always be demos at our county fairs. You inspired me to start up a spreadsheet for mine, now that I am back into my sock knitting. I ended up having 8 pairs of socks on the needles. I thought I had at least 5. 😳 Time to get cracking so I can start more. LOL

Hahaha! 8 sock WIPs??? Wow! Do you do patterned socks usually or just vanilla? I would have loved to have seen the knitting machines in action at a fair! I know I could join a group and get the similar result, but I'm so anxious, introverted and socially awkward that I'm too afraid to. 😅 So muddling along on my own it is. 😅

@@LovebirdLaneMakes It's 10 now. 😆 Although this seems to be working for me. I use them like fidget toys and am always working on one while watching videos. Having so many keeps me from getting board. I have actually finished a couple too. I have just completed my first patterned sock and do want to try more. Groups are hard, especially when you are on your own. I was lucky enough to join my local spinning guild, along with my sister. I ended up going on my own quite a lot and enjoyed the environment, until I had to stop going, due to work. It can be quite draining though, when you are naturally not a social person. It would take me a day afterwards to decompress and settle back into myself. It was worth it though for the mutual love of the craft and the pool of experiences.

Thank you for the video, wow, you've been very productive. I'm on the last sleeve of my Alex jumper by Truly Myrtle, just plain socks with some Regia yarn and also working through the 24birds shawl by Curious Handmade. Looking forward to your next video

Ooo! You're busy too! It's funny, I don't feel like I've really accomplished anything at all this year, so thank you for the encouragement xx

For the socks made on the knitting machine, to continue following the two needle rule, could you do a 2x2 rib but add one knit stitch before and one purl stitch after? The row would read k3, p2, k2, ....p2, k2, p3. That would keep the needle rule and also give one extra stitch either side for the seam and keep the pattern once stitched together. Just a thought!

Ooo yes, that could work! And it would be easy enough to decrease those stitches to get back to my desired stitch count. Fab! Thanks! 😃

Is that Fireheart yarn a Warrior Cats reference? The granny square sweater reminds me of me of the sweater you get from your ‘mom’ in Animal Crossing New Horizons!

Hahahaha! I don't think I've got that sweater yet in Animal Crossing! I'll have to look out for it. :) Fireheart is named for a Throne of Glass book series character. :)
