Ferrum Forge - Stinger (In Nitro V)

I have this in the black G-10 and it is very nice. The blade came like scary sharp. Another knife steel added to my collection with the Nitro-V. And I really like the Ferrum Forge on the pivot.

Had to get one when i saw it, in case it sold out. perfect knife in a lot of ways to me. big choil, nice blade shape, stonewashed, flipper, thin behind the edge, nice clip, looks sexy, etc.

Wow . The elementum is smaller than this stinger ? Haven’t tried one but like the stinger a lot , right away too . They’re working in a button lock version and getting into kitchen knives I guess @ Ferrum forge . They seem to out out some cool knives . They feel good to me . I like how thin and snappy this little fekker is .👍. I wish you the best Stassa . You , Jared , Wayne and a few others have been good company on this knife journey . I swear u r blowing up these last few months .

Both the (Mass)Drop x Schwartz Perpetua and the Drop + Bradford Guardian 3.5 Fixed Blade knives use Nitro-V.

Got the black g10 coming my way soon! I have a falcon, and archbishop 2.0 I love their designs.. JUST GOT MINE TODAY.. ILL SAY IT IS SIMILAR TO THE GENT IN A LOT OF WAYS.. SLIGHTLY LARGER BUT KNOW IF YOU DIG THE GENT THIS IN YOUR WHEELHOUSE.. SHARP.. VERY SHARP

I think I would have preferred a lot of other steels over the Nitro-V that they went with on this guy. Its a very attractive design, I must say. Being a light duty edc knife, I would prefer a harder particle steel with edge retention as the priority over toughness. People just get excited about a new steel, and they buy the hell out of it. I dont think this would have made half as big of a splash in the community if it had VG10 or something like that, so good on them for doing smart business. I hope everyone out there knows how to sharpen.

@@winchesterinc.5643 I bought something from Chicago Knife Works recently but for the life of me, can't remember what (I suffer from CRS...Can't Remember Shit) At any rate, I had no problems with them whatsoever. Like every other online vendor, it takes a day or two longer to get than it should because of the Wuhan flu. I ordered a FF Stinger in tan G10 from them early this morning for $75.59 all in. No shipping, no tax. I'm okay with using Chicago Knife Works.

@@winchesterinc.5643 the no shipping charge doesn't necessarily apply to everything. For the Stinger it said "this qualifies for free shipping". I assume (you know what that can get ya') that after a certain price point, shipping would be free but , I don't know what that price point would be.

Personally, I've always liked Ferrum Forge's designs and their overall aesthetic/look. I especially like how Ferrum Forge makes those amazing Jimmy Dean sausage sized finger choils. But I'm really not a fan of frame locks knives. I'm so glad to see that Ferrum Forge is having their designs made with a liner lock and at an affordable price while still be quality knives!!!! I have the Ferrum Forge's Mini Archbishop exclusive in carbon fiber and it was truly amazing. Ferrum Forge has currently on its website an exclusive version of the Stinger liner lock knife in that same carbon fiber as the Mini Archbishop, that carbon fiber has the perfect balance of being textured without being too aggressive so it won't sandpaper your pants pockets. I ordered one of these CF versions do you have one already or have you handled the CF ? I was wondering if it's the same as the Gent CF , I really like the matte carbon fiber , slightly textured but not hard milled that it's abrasive but some grippiness.

@@everydaycarry1328 I ordered a carbon fiber version of this Ferrum Forge Stinger liner lock, it's still on the way. That being said, I do have the Mini Archbishop exclusive in carbon fiber which I really really like. This new Stinger liner lock has the exact carbon fiber as the Mini Archbishop I have. This carbon fiber is lightly textured which gives you grip but at the same time that texture won't sandpaper your pants pockets at all, trust me you won't be disappointed by the look/feel of the carbon fiber at all it's perfect!!!

I really hope it is at least 60 hrc,the perpetua was done with 2 different hrc the 1st was target 61 and the second version was 58 hrc ,nitro-v really needs 61-63 the info I have seen says that it can handle high hardness
