One huge tip for new players is to get builder as leader and clear map of all plague hearts and finish legacy as quick as you can to get builder boon witch gives free water and power for whole base so you can save 2 outpost space and don't have to use fuel for them :)

Sure, the endgame bonuses help a ton! I prefer the warlord bonus, that gives 1x .50 rifle and 3x M4A1s as well as a crazy stockpile of ammo to dominate the early game. But rushing to complete the highest difficulty can be dangerous and really difficult, you've got to be careful. Also, these bonuses do not transfer to higher difficulties, so even if you've completed them on Normal, you cannot transfer them to Dread and Nightmare.

@@QuickSaveTV FYI You can transfer Trader boon of 4.000 influence and Warlord boon of weapons cache from Standard to Nightmare
