Eva LaRue is such a sweet open person. I was so sad to hear how John Callahan was struggling. I always liked him and thought he was such a good actor. And Eva was so open talking about her health issues. I wish her a complete recovery with all she is going through. Im sorry you have been having a hard time with your anxiety Maurice. I am sending love and prayers that you start feeling better soon ❤️🙏🥰

Happy Father's Day Maurice. You are a wonderful father and grandfather that your family is so fortunate to have. My severe anxiety and PTSD has come back hard the past week. It feels like a nonstop panic attack I need a break from just to breathe. Today our kids and I grieve and miss my husband, who we lost to bipolar disorder, on Father's Day, which is not helping. Savor every year you get with that beautiful family of yours!

Thank you for explaining Blaze's mother, Ms. Larue. I grew up the youngest son of a lay preacher in Texas, but I'm old enough, and with the kind of life, that coming out wasn't an option before my parents died over the last 2 decades. I feel like my own mother would have been like your character, but worse. My heart breaks as a middle-aged man that some young adults still have to endure this when they can't yet tolerate the consequences of having it out once and for all with parents.

I love Eva LaRue. I started watching CSI because of her. I know that if she's friends with Kelly Ripa, then she's got to be a wonderful person because I know Kelly personally and have known her for over 40 years. So I am thrilled to see her on GH. And I can't wait to see who Natalia becomes as she sculpts her character. Maurice, I suffer from anxiety. It kept me from my potential when I was younger. I have a real hard time being in crowds, so I order my groceries because I can't shop. I am glad to see you pushing through. I know how hard it is. You're on my daily prayer list. God bless. This was one of the best, most intimate and honest conversations I've ever seen. Thank you Eva for telling your real story with such fearlessness. I hope your health issues improve soon. And the insights into your character on GH gives me a new appreciation for what you are doing. I'm looking forward to seeing where Natalia goes in the future. Maurice, I hope things are getting better with the struggles you're having now and that you were able to enjoy Father's Day. I've been a father for 31 years and this past weekend was literally the first Father's Day where I wasn't consumed with self-loathing and was in a good enough place to truly enjoy, appreciate and accept the love and appreciation I was shown by my kids and my wife. And I don't know if I would have begun this journey to better mental health without your activism and advocacy. I really mean that. You have done so much good for so many, please take comfort in that and take care of yourself. Thank you for this episode of State of Mind, and for all you do both here and on GH. My wife and I watch every evening on my dinner break and it provides me with an hour break from the daily grind and on Sundays I love watching these discussions. And I know there are countless others just like me who care about you and appreciate all the work you do. Take care of yourself and if you can, when you're ready, let us know how you're doing. You're in the thoughts of everyone watching these incredible and very important conversations.

Great interview Maurice. As someone whose life has been affected by alcoholism, Eva's insights were most appreciated, especially alcoholism and heart attacks. Her honesty about alcoholism being a contributing cause of John's death may have helped save lives. Now that I look at photos of John post 2015 or so, I recognize some of the telltale signs of his diabetes and alcoholism. Good to know they were on great terms post divorce, and worked through the pain, and were there for their daughter
