Finn is such an articulate young man and seems so wise beyond his years. How wonderful it was of him to be so open about his struggles and how he helped himself. What a great role model he is for young people today. Great interview today and i think its great to have young people like him on as it helps to show their perspective as well. I absolutely love him as Rocco and think hes doing a fabulous job!

I've had some depressions that were like a dark pit that I believed would never end. Nothing meant anything to me for months. At 74 I still have bad days but can get myself out of it. Depression and Panic Attacks are part of the same syndrome. At 16 years old anti-depression medicines are tricky and destabilizing. For me, my last very serious bad anxiety/depression was at 47. I ended up in kaiser Mental Health Hospital in downtown LA I've been taking Paxil now for 26 years and it is most of the time a Godsend. My triggers are many; but crowds, heights/cliffs, driving on freeways, but many other places can be a trigger all of a sudden.

I really enjoyed Finn’s interview. I wanted to hear more on how he dealt with his anxiety if it was other than swimming and exercise. I think a young person would gain more if he had been able to talk more about it. I would love one of those bracelets you are wearing Maurice. Thanks for caring about mental health in all its forms

I really enjoyed this episode. So thankful that young people are so self aware with their mental health. As a 59 year old woman this mental health thing was not talked about or even on anyone's radar when I was a kid. So, to this day I struggle with mental health issues that have effected every aspect of my life from childhood trauma.

@MBStateOfMind my nana (God rest her soul) watched all the soaps back in day but her favorites where Y&R and GH. She loved Sonny and Jason lol. I had stutter and was chubby as kid and said one day you'll be like them on TV. Now I'm an actor lol. God bless and keep up the good work.

All the young actors on GH are gifted, but I find Finn Carr (Rocco) to be an exceptional talent. The scene where he first encountered his (awakened) mother was powerful and very well done. "This kid is good!" I remember thinking. He's also wise beyond his years in the way he has dealt with real life depression. At his age I too had my bouts of "not wanting to get out of bed," that's very common among teens, except that he's coping with it in a smarter way than I ever did. Bless you, Maurice, for this great show which is enlightening and helping so many of us! 💖💖💖💖💖

I agree in the significance of in-person therapy sessions. There’s so many symptoms of anxiety that can be missed such as fidgeting of legs, feet, hand wringing etc. Also the privacy factor is an issue as well. I also agree that the most important thing is to get help

What a wonderful, amazing and open young man (Rocco) Finn is. Seems like he has a good soul. Maurice- I encourage you to seek out an in person therapist. I feel those of us with chronic depression/anxiety have a greater benefit with face to face. You can’t hide as much….. It forces one to take care of our personal hygiene and put the effort into showing up.

Yes, conversations like this should be talked about out loud. There are probably a lot of teenagers would still be here if they would have had someone to talk too. I know, my babysister was one of them, because we missed all the signs. I thank Mr. Bernard for this platform and he talks about it , age does not make a difference. God Bless him. ❤

I disagree with the OP, now is the time to talk about this. As a black man in our culture it is swept under the rug and it becomes a problem years later. I suffer through depression and it started at an early age and I never talked about it because in our community it’s laughed upon and talked about. So Finn is a young man and Maurice’s experience should be talked about more.
