I want to point out that Ghost of Yotei takes place in 1603. Jin was fighting Mongols back in 1274, so unless he's an actual ghost I don't think we're going to see him in this game.

I think that was a decent SoP. As for Ghost, it looks amazing to me. It’s almost like a new IP. I don’t think they could’ve done much more with Jin. Some new gameplay stuff and weapons. A new part of Japan to explore and a whole new story and character to learn about. I’m very much looking forward to this.

As someone who plays xbox only, nothing here was convincing me to get a playstation. Half the games are coming to xbox as well. I'm happy for astro bot. If Sony was smart, they'd support it harder and make it a major for the public image.

@Jay_NSG every decent sized marketing event should be in some way to show off what they offer so that new customers are interesting in trying their product. What good would it do if they only go after existing market share? Sony cares about new consoles being sold, Microsoft doesn't.

Dammit, I liked GoT because it was so grounded. If you gonna have a female lead, at least give her a naginata, at least then it could be somewhat historically (and biologically) accurate.

The possibility of them doing so still exists. Really depends on what type of warrior she is - because the Naginata is still a pole-arm, mainly to be used in Calvary or infantry formation, not one-on-one (or several) combat. Would be cool, but also in the Edo period they were very rare at that point.

@dadshirt6681 no matter the "side" in this culture war - if your main talking point is just her sex then you're the one poisoning the conversation. Yes there are idiots in the "anti-woke" crowd who immediately have a meltdown because the lead is a woman, vice versa on the other side. But there is - what I'd argue - a not quite as vocal majority that is primarily worried that her being a woman could come with all the symptomes of modern writing for "strong" female leads. Mainly turning them into apathetic empowerment-fantasies - either by making them Mary Sues or turning all male characters into grotesque caricatures of incompetence or hedonism. Imo healthy scepticism of that nature is absolutely justified but I also can't spot anything in this reveal trailer that would support this fear, maybe even quite the opposite. I also think SuckerPunch absolutely deserves the benefit of the doubt since they really crushed it with Jin Sakai.
