It will be VERY tough for the NYY to retain Juan Soto...Lindor and Soto are friends now and Lindor is reportedly discussing the METS with Soto very actively...Steve Cohen has grand plans for the Flushing redevelopment and the METS are the cornerstone of a multi-year/multi-billion $$ project...And a Soto signing helps solidify the METS standing as a contender for the foreseeable years to come...Also, to show the power he has, Scott Boras requires everyone to come to Newport Beach HQ to discuss his client's futures

I know it's going to sound stupid - but it's time to take a look at MetLife. Giants record at MetLife 54-65-1 (.454). Jets record at MetLife 56-64 (.466). NFL players have voted it the worst stadium to play in. NFL writers have voted it the 25th worst stadium out of 30. That both teams are dismal at home needs to be looked at. Met Life was a compromise form the start. Super windy. Bad glare. Lot's of injuries. Maybe install grass like they're supposed to do for the World Cup?

The in-season NBA tournament does service one good purpose. The players on the winning team each receive a half a million dollars. That is huge money for those guys sitting at the end of the bench, not sure but it might include coaches.

When your car breaks down you don't just shove it off a cliff. You diagnose the problem then determine what's wrong with it and if it's worth fixing. There are a lot of salvageable parts in this organization someone with a clear head (and that clearly isn't you, Mike) needs to determine which parts to keep and which parts to jettison. Saiquon Barkley was an example of the Giants pushing the car off the cliff. I'm not saying they were wrong for letting him go, but they should have gotten a hell of a lot more for him. You can't just throw your arms up and say to hell with all of it. That's what losing organizations do. The Giants need to calmly evaluate, not push the panic button. Leave that to the Jets.

Re Saquon, there is the incalculable PR disaster of letting your best player go to the hated rival, who are MUCH better than you, and Saquon then thriving personally, professionally and team-wise...especially when you SUCK and the hated rival is an actual SB contender...Never mind the automatic Pro Bowl for Saquon already, can you imagine Saquon as SB MVP if Philly gets there and wins it...?? Mike I love big blue. I saw at 6 years old the last game at Yankee Stadium before the worst torture in attic conditions in November of all times of the year. Spider Lockhart was my favorite. I had a poster on my wall as a kid. They were so bad in the late 60's The Cowboys w: The great Roger the Dodger Stauback & The great Steeler Teams. Until Simms got over injuries & figured it out. Kudos to Ray Perkins , Bill Parcells & a player that changed the support for having to keep an eye on #56. Young need a strong 1/4back & a great pass rush that shows how important a good game manager as well as great decisions will give you a chance of at least going to a playoff? Since Eli Giants had no good 1/4back & Since that front 4 & the huge tackle Jumbo Elliot. Watch him on isolated plays he was good. Jets same thing. Impatient because NO TITLE SINCE NAMATH IN SUPERBOWL 3 . So heartbreaking. No excuse. The NY SACK EXCHANGE watched a very special defense including the Linebacker Buttle. Lyons, Gastineau Big Joe Klecko which would take 3 defensive lineman to stop on running plays. The Giants had 2 Superbows 2007,2011. You mean it's 45 years & some successful season . They have not been good since Kenny O'Brian. 😮

I like Soto, but a 13-15 year contract is not a good look. Yankees need an outfielder and two infielders as well as a Closer. They could get Santander for the OF and Adamis for 3B, move Jazz to 2B, play Rice at 1B, sign Tanner Scott for Closer.......all for less money than Soto.

@stanfromwestport2024 If the Giants went into the season with a Russel Wilson or a Matt Stafford, they'd be 5-3 or better. 1-5 in close games, the red zone efficiency/turnovers, the offense being ranked dead last are eventually killers to a defense. A QB can fix all that. They have to complement each other. The play calls are there. The WR are open. They just need a QB to ge them the ball and I believe they now know it. Which is why DJ won't be the starter going forward

I like that Mike was drinking a Diet Coke. It made me almost taste it. I'm sure ad exercises have tried this and it didn't work but it works for me. If I'm watching TV or movie and see a character using a brand or item I'm familiar with I get interested because it looks cool. But that same product cutting into my program is a turnoff for the show and that product. Can you advertise products during the show by placing them strategically around set and being used by characters? And not interrupt the show at all? You can get a closeup of a nice watch brand, glasses or anything all integrated into the show. We don't need actors stopping, looking in camera then using the product 😂 that's even worse?
