......CONTINUED Had this law taken hold, Museveni wouldn't have been eligible to run in 2011. He'd be retired just like other dictators like Kamuzu Banda, Daniel Toroitich e.t.c. What I don't understand is this, why did parliament vote this law down? What if they had refused to vote it down and just let it remain as the law of the land? Judging from the way things are going, Museveni is basically a life president. He'll only leave State House when he is dead. Until then, more craziness.

Could a Ugandan just explain this to me because I don't get it. Sometime between 2000 and 2005 or thereabout, Uganda's parliament passed a law that sets a limit on the term that a president should serve to two five years just like in Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, South Africa, my own Kenya e.t.c.
