I agree if you don't have those basic pieces it makes it difficult. I started capsule wardrobes about two years ago. I think it's truly a learning process at least for me.I finally have my wardrobe down to a science. It's true those statement pieces are easy to incorporate if you think with intentions and knowing what will go with your basics I add patterned leggings plain tops with pops of color for my statement pieces and graphic tees. I love your videos so thank you

Omg! How come you only have 4 k subscribers? You have great speaking and teaching skills ,loved tour tips! Found you while looking for a coloful capsule wardrobe which is hard to find these days...and when started the video I had a feeling I wouldn't like your tips judging by your hair, clothes and overall scenario... You have like a 2000's vibe kinda of outdated... Perhaps you should invest in your scenarios, like you can upgrade your clothing stand to a cooler and more modern one, change your hangers to velvet, add point scenario decor like a plant or a more fashion oriented wall image? I know everyone is so different but this my own tips for you. Best!

Would be good if you showed statement pieces you bought/thrifted and how you styled with existing items in your wardrobe. I think it would then be less theoretical and more engaging. Thanks, Emma

This series is meant to be a really brief overview of my process. I would be happy to make another video going into more detail about my personal wardrobe and how I style my pieces!

Hi ! Emma , i love your new jean jacket what store did you buy it from ? also i love all your videos and your house is beautiful 🙂♥️ SC

Thank you! The jacket is from H&M! It runs big so definitely size down. I got the XS and it is still oversized. We live in a little 1920s apartment so it is very cute! I’m so glad you love my videos 🤗

I'm loving your videos. Can you recommend where to get a kimono style jacket? I have been looking for one as a statement piece, but I'm struggling to find one that is not just cheap fast fashion.

Right?! I spent months trying to find one! I got lucky and thrifted mine. Anthropology has the best ones but they are expensive. You could try Poshmark and try to find one second hand. I also just recently discovered the brand Monsoon London. They have some fun jackets. They are really hard to find especially if you don’t want to spend a lot so you just have to dig!

Etsy! It has a lot of kimonos of all lengths.

I have one from Gap and one from Anthropology. Both thrifted.
