Your videos are so informative! I wished I would seem this two years ago when I started capsule wardrkbes. I now have figured how to use color in my wardrobe . My basics are grey navy black and white in the winter it's cream my summer colors are red gold light blue and coral. I wear a lot of patterned pants so most.if my tops are solids and I make sure the colors.in.My pants have the same colors as my colored tops so they will mix and match

I have lots of colors in my wardrobe, during the warmer months I like warmer colors, during the cooler months darker colors. Bottoms, shoes and outerwear are usually parts of my wardrobe which I try to simplify, while shirts and dresses are more colorful and playful. Have you ever watched videos from My Green Closet and Justine Leconte? I recommend checking them out.

Do you think it’s really necessary to restrict a color palette so much? I really like the idea of being very intentional about a wardrobe, but I tend to wear a much larger variety of colors in tops. I only wear black or denim bottoms, so everything mixes and matches anyway. My color palette now is greyscale, a very light pink, and then specific shades of blue, green, purple, and cool red that work for me. I *could* narrow down to six, but I know I’d personally feel deprived of other pretty colors!

I like to use a color palette as a general guideline. It is up to you how strict you want to be with it! My philosophy revolves around being more intentional with your wardrobe. Selecting a color palette helps you be more mindful and makes it easier to build and maintain your wardrobe to make it easy to mix and match your pieces. But do whatever works for you! If you keep your bottoms neutral anyway, it will be easy to mix and match more colors on top. Even I have one or two pieces that are outside of my color palette. This is just a nice step to help you get your wardrobe started so it is not as overwhelming and it gives you somewhere to start.

I love color, i had so many that it gave me a headache and wasted my time to dress, finally had to have a base of neutrals to make my colors work. that is what Emma kept saying you have to be able to ground the bright colors.

I think the real key is finding the right shade of whatever color... so making sure you have the *right* green for you skin tone, etc. When you get the shades that go with your coloring everything should really go together.

It is my new favorite color and really trendy at the moment! I love it paired with light blue or it looks great with navy. White, black, and denim would be easy pairs but you could even pair it with other jewel tones like a teal if you want to color block.

Hey Isabell! You can do whatever works best for you. My color palette fluctuates a little in different seasons. My neutrals and basics pretty much stay the same but then my accent colors will change to better fit the season. Hope this helps!
