Staten Island Ferry commuter nightmare

MTA subway definitely needs to be expanded in Staten Island by connecting to Brooklyn through tunnel. Look at English channel between France and UK

Hang in there NYC! I no longer live in the Big Apple but I'm currently in Seattle and we have approximately 20 ferrys in the Washington State ferry system. Some people commute throughout all of the islands into the City and some just take a quick 40' .. We went through our changes too, with the pandemic and staffing shortages. But the great crews kept plugging away and we're getting through it. Our ferrys are very large, larger than San Francisco but less than the Big Orange SI ferry line.. but we can get through it all. _Contract negotiations are fine but just showing appreciation to the employees with a smile also helps a great deal!_

If you read what it said on the video it said they haven't gotten a wage increase for over a decade. I'd be gone too. A smile and appreciation is not going to win them over if they are getting paid peanuts.

Disgusting why would you even live in nyc at that point Staten Island is a irrelevant place has nothing to do with nyc transportation options are horrible. You don’t have any choice but to take a bus or ferry to leave a borough that’s horrible being from queens we don’t have that problem we have trains
