Good tips. I need to remember that frequency shift. I hit an area that was driving me crazy and I was missing signals, so will try that before. On the beach, though, I have seldom had a problem (Ocean City). Going to try to get there this week! Enjoy your cruise! Thanks!

In iron infested ground I can’t run the legend hot because the iron overwhelms the good signals I have to use the LG24 with a recovery speed of 6 or 7 and sensitivity as low as 18 to pick between the iron for the good targets. You risk loosing a lot of good stuff if you run to hot.

Well done! I do find specific areas of the beach that cause my machine to get VERY chatty, I usually just back up or walk faster till it settles down. I think beach cams send a signal back to a computer to put on internet and these really cause my legend to go wacky! I know where to expect these now. Many cell phones are on blue tooth as people listen to podcast, or music with wireless headphones some, not all make my legend chatty. I actually use wireless ear buds with my legend so I can wear a wide brimmed hat, skin cancer on the face is very real and painful and disfiguring to get cut off. Another suggestion for a video: put together a video on dangerous finds. Nails, knives w/blade out fish hooks, things that can cut or puncture a foot on the beach. Just put those clips in a file on. Computer and by summers end you WILL. Have enough to do an entire video on how metal detecters are making the beaches safer! This one day may open more beaches to detecting or even kids playgrounds! Lots to be found on playgrounds which are mostly just mulch. Playgrounds As of now off limits to digging. Keep it up young man! I watch every video!
