I realize you made this comment 2 years ago. But I have to say this. Ministry turned me metal in '88, then Fear Factory turned me METAL, in '92. Both bands roughly 30 years (!) ago. And then Wayne came along... Bands like this don't exist anymore which is an absolute shame.

@Living_Dead_Girrl Жыл бұрын
@@itsdenizcankaya There was never any infighting in Nü Metal... And if we're being accurate, Static-X is Industrial, as-is Fear Factory (featured in this song), and this is a cover of Ministry. Limp Bizkit is technically Rap Rock, a genre that is only sometimes Nü Metal, like Linkin Park, but is distinct all its own. LB only fell under Nü Metal because Fred was originally Jonathan Davis's protege, and well, because MTV said so. MTV said a lot of things. JD signed LB, along with the band Orgy.

@@Living_Dead_Girrl Tony played on the Relapse album.
@Living_Dead_Girrl Жыл бұрын
@@jensnooters6938 by "played" you mean he might've been a session bassist on one studio album. Kool. If true, this means Uncle Al trusted Tony enough to play the bass lines given to him in the studio... But then learned his lesson. Again, proving what I stated: Tony was never a member of Ministry. Tony rarely recorded usable session bass on a single Static-X song. Wayne himself had to re-record the bass tracks, and played virtually every instrument in studio himself. Campos is a pay-for-play bassist. Everyone in the industry knows this. For Al, his managers prioritize hiring sober touring musicians. If you're a technically skilled player that's based in LA, and ya don't drink or drug, you too might be able to tour with Ministry someday.
@jensnooters6938 Жыл бұрын
@@Living_Dead_Girrl I don't really care. My original comment was from two years ago.
@Living_Dead_Girrl Жыл бұрын
@@jensnooters6938 So? Disinformation has no expiration date. Tony Campos was neither a member of Ministry, nor had anything to do with this brilliant Ministry cover. He’s a greedy short fat bald bass player who abused the legal system to kill Static-X until it killed Wayne, then “resurrected” what was never his to begin with, stole Wayne Static’s final solo album (Tony’s the reason Wayne had to release new music under “Wayne Static”) he died just week’s before releasing… and his widow, Tara, “conveniently” died just as she was gearing up to release it to continue Wayne’s legacy. Interesting how the “Static-X” Instagram account run by Tony (when the only Official Static-X social media account at the time was their FB page created & ran by Wayne until a year after his death …when Tony hijacked it), announced Tara’s death by stating she (did that one thing I can’t say on YT) “to finally be with Wayne”… before absolutely anyone even knew she died. And that horrific rhetoric that glamorizes such an act, no less, has stuck to Tara - because there’s no one left to speak-up for her. No note was ever found. An alleged accidental overdose is not the same as dying on purpose. It’s also really hard to OD when you have a tolerance and don’t use IV. Neither of their publicly avail toxicology reports show a high enough amount of any narcotic, including metabolites (indicative of active and/or recently used substance metabolized before death), to substantiate ruling either death an OD and/or drug-related. Wayne only had cold medication and a very small amount of metabolized prescription oxycodone in his system. All of his medication was sitting on his night table, and evaluated by police. And this was looooong before deadly fake pain killers laced with fentanyl hit the streets, and again, he had a script. It wasn’t from the streets. Further, he died on the one night Tara was out and didn’t sleep at their house. She initially blamed herself for not being there, implying she believed he wouldn’t have died if she was there. Since they were married, they rarely ever spent a night apart to the point of annoyance as Tara joined Wayne on tour. She had her own theory, but police paid her no mind… like they do with everyone they write off as a “junky.” She never publicly spoke on it because she didn’t want this to be the focus of Wayne’s legacy. Plus, what could she prove? Tara was Wayne’s sole heir, and thus inherited Static-X’s entire music library, publishing, merch & band name trademark. EVERYTHING Tony spent a decade suing Wayne over. After Tara died, Tony Campos somehow made a case to the courts, who were eager to just settle this substantial estate in Tara’s name at her time of death, because she had no Will or next of kin. And it clearly went in his favor, given the so-called ONE Static-X “tribute to Wayne” show turned into a national tour, then a 2nd national tour, then an international tour, then another national tour… in support of that new “Static-X” “tribute to Wayne” album that was actually just Wayne’s unreleased solo album with a bunch of really bad drums and Wisconsin Death Trip samples overlaid + the WORST mixing I’ve ever heard - curtesy of the dude Ministry didn’t invite back to ever do session bass again. So now you know why it’s extremely sus to be praising Tony Campos absolutely anywhere - but especially here, under a song Tony took no part in. A song with Burton C Bell, who just lost the rights to his own band’s name and the theft of 30 years of his work due to an eerily similar frivolous lawsuit that lasted over a decade, filed by a former-bass player that left Fear Factory in 2006. Two greedy ex-bass players, and two Frankensteined bands that think they can live on without their actual songwriter and singer - who are presently TOURING TOGETHER, each proclaiming they just wanna play “one more tour”… for real this time $$$
