Such a cool song. Static X really killed on their first two records. Wayne was definitely one of the best and most unique voices in metal, even to this day. Even if you don't like the band you can't deny wayne had a really cool style and vocal delivery.

Static used quite a lot of samples and backing tracks when they played live. Even for vocals. They actually still use some of the same tracks live today, so Wayne's voice can still be heard live. Listen close to a track like Sweat Of The Bud live. You can clearly hear Wayne's voice echoing out after the verse screams.

It's a great sound to listen to when you're about 13 or so and you feel the need to rebel against what your parents have established for you as you seek to find your own identity. It's a naive thing, almost childish, but we all need that in one moment or the other of our lives. I've been there and I know loud angry music didn't have to make sense, only to get you through your causeless anger times. In my days we listened to Marilyn Manson, Pantera, Korn... It was all part of a cleansing and a growing up thing.

On this album, the drums are sampled but the producer/band used a few different snare samples so it's not too artificial sounding, it's that attention to detail that a lot of artists even today don't put in their music for some reason. Always thought that Wayne had a unique approach to music and even though his music is pretty simple for the most part it's the little things he did that set his music apart from other bands from the late 90s
