Well done! Always interesting to see behind the scenes things like this. The ending made me chuckle. While I'm decidedly a dog person thank you for saving those cats. Going through a fire is traumatic enough but losing a four legged family member would make it even worse.

On the aerial shot of the station it looked quite small to me - there were as much as *six vehicle bays* and not a lot of room for that many people to live. But when A.J. told us that the station was usually staffed by 7 people it made a lot more sense to me. But I still wonder - there's Tower, Medic, Safety and two cross-staffed brush apparatus, so... what's the sixth bay used for? [Also, the cat rescue thing is hilarious. It proves what my boss once said on a TV interview: "Well, you have to realise that the average firefighter never matures past the age of 12." :D]

I can relate to whiskers. I work for a county ambulance service (also in colorado), and we are housed at a fire station. My nickname is “El Gato” (not for rescuing cats though. Mostly because I walk very quietly and accidentally sneak up on people) I decided to embrace the name and bought myself a pair of tie-dye pajamas with kitten faces on them that I wear when we play 4 square. It is definitely a sight to see.
