Today’s violent world is the cost of diversity...there are good blacks and good hispanics, but truth is literally 90% of violence is from those two groups. But, just like in “The Emperors’ New Clothes”, no one can question the beauty of diversity without being made fun of.
@Name-ps9fx3 жыл бұрын
@Yurt of Gloaming Not Christian....but what I wrote is the truth, if you dare to verify it. US crime by state, race, and income is in the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report, and world populations for the past several decades is published on a number of websites (as well as in the old hardback Encyclopedias, if you want something that doesn’t have the “Internet” reputation). Keep an eye on the overseas news sources, as well. It’s illegal in many European countries to talk about race (in any context except “Colored good, White bad”) but often one can glean who’s doing most of the violent crime by keeping a sharp eye out.

Since you're a youngster I'll let you know that in the last verse when they say "Dewey, Dewey who?" They are not referring to Donald Duck's nephew as the video depicts, they are rather referring to the 1948 election between Harry Truman and Thomas Dewey. The Chicago Daily Tribute incorrectly reported that Thomas Dewey had won the election when in reality Harry Truman had won. A famous picture was taken of Truman hoisting the paper after he correctly was announced the winner of the 1948 election.

Klamath Falls Herald and News: Tuesday, December 18th, 2012/Letters To The Editor Pop culture distorted, misrepresented the ’50s Marlen McGee’s Dec. 10 Herald and News letter laments the 1950s as being so wonderful. Really? No decade has been more distorted and misrepresented by pop culture “American Graffiti” feel-good fluff as the 1950's: burger shops, drive ins, roller skates, bobby socks and poodle skirts (whatever those were?), including plastic hula hoops. I was born in Klamath Falls in November 1956 and I faintly remember hula hoops being twirled by giggly girls. Remember the Korean War (1950-1953)? The World Book Encylopedia states: “The Korean War was one of the bloodiest in history. About a million South Korean civilians were killed, and millions more made homeless. More than 560,000 United Nations and South Korean troops and about 1.6 million Communist troops, both North Korean and Red Chinese, were killed or wounded or reported missing in action.” Calling the Korean War a police action is a misnomer. The Hungarian Uprising in Budapest commenced in 1956 against Soviet rule. Bear in mind the Nazis occupied Hungary in 1944 a dozen years earlier during World War II (1939-1945). The SS and Gestapo rounded up hundreds of thousands of Hungarian Jews, including Gypsies, who were deported by railroad to Auschwitz, Poland for mass killing. The Nazis were assisted by Fascist collaborators in Hungary’s Arrow Cross, and likewise, the anti-semitic Iron Guard in Romania, also Holocaust perpetrators. In 1956, Smith and Wesson introduced the K-Frame .357 Combat Magnum revolver. Designated Model 19 in 1957 (stainless version is Model 66), both became the quintessential lawman's’ .357 Magnum sidearm for decades afterward. By 1956, Southern Pacific Railroad decommissioned its last steam engines and went diesel. This was the post World War II 1950's America kept in proper historical perspective. This is contrary to ignorance via television movies, fads, and pop culture. James A. Farmer , Ashland Now a resident of Merrill, Oregon (Klamath County) It was great to be a teenager in the 50's. Sure, if you were too young to be drafted for the Korean War (1950-1953). The constant companion for either a U.S. Army or Marine Corp infantryman during this era, including World War II, would likely have been a .30 caliber Garand M-1 rifle: an eight shot, gas operated, semi-automatic weapon. The Garand M-1 rifle loaded an 8 round en-block clip of .30-06 Springfield M-2 ball ammo.

Klamath Falls Herald and News: Tuesday, May 23, 2017/Letters To The Editor Give the M-14 rifle its place in history Annually we observe both Memorial Day and Veterans Day which for 2017 fall on Monday, May 29, and Saturday, Nov. 11, respectively. Let's give historical tribute in to another U.S. Military veteran: The M-14 Rifle. Sixty years ago in May 1957 the U.S. Army officially adopted a new service rifle: the M-14 Rifle: caliber 7.62 mm (NATO), .308 Winchester. The M-14 Rifle was destined to replace four older weapon systems in the military during that era to simplify ammo logistics and training, especially the U.S. Army and Marine Corps. The M-14 was adopted due to lessons learned during both World War II (1939-1945) and the Korean War (1950-1953). Eventually the M-14 itself would gradually be replaced by the Colt AR-15 or M-16 Rifle during the Vietnam War (1961-1975) by executive decree of then Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara. The M-14 was designed by Eugene Stoner and chambered in 5.56mm/.223 Remington. The rest they say is history, Instead of delving further into the M-14's background the articles and You Tube online videos posted below will teach the historical background, development, nomenclature, and detail of the M-14. They include: 1. "M-1 Garand to M-14 (M1-A History)." 2. R. Lee Ermey: M-14 vs. M-16. 3. M-14 Rifle (documentary). 4. M-14 Rifle: "U.S. Rifle 7.62 mm)" M-14 Operation and Cycle of Function": Parts 1-2 1960 U.S. Army. 6. M-14 Rifle Tribute. 7. "The M-14 Rifle: John C. Garand's Final Legacy" by Bruce Canfield-Thursday, April 28 2016. 8. The 1987 movie "Full Metal Jacket" via NRA: American Rifleman. More information is available online. Not surprisingly none of this will ever be taught, much less tolerated, in our government controlled socialist, schools, colleges, universities, and academia. This is a damnable shame and slam on our republic and American veterans who have served! James A. Farmer , Merrill Merrill, Oregon (Klamath County) is a semi-rural farming community of around 860 residents located 21 miles south-east of Klamath Falls.

wow- I was born in Newfoundland, Canada but can remember some of these fads and times that our American friends grew up with. We shared some of these back then- An era that is only a memory now-but what a run it was.

Now there is a song that brings back Memories? The Statler Brothers were great 👌👍! All those images were part of my growing up? Of course the late Sixties 1968 - 1978 were my wild pre - teen yrs. But having two older Sisters, & Five to Eight cousins, that were around, or in the mix? My ole "Wonder Years" were very Broad in Scope! As they use too say then ? You were only ever limited of Your Personel, "Knowledge"? By the Questions? You asked other People. Another Ishim I learned then? And believed very much? Was the only Dumb Question? Is the One Question You failed or Forgot too Ask? Oh well Thank You For that short Trip Down Our Memory Highway? Wyoming, Robert,🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸📸💭👀👀✌️✌️🤙🤙🎷📽️📺🌄🙏🙏

I lived in Memphis in 1992, and a Piggly Wiggly grocery store was there, still in business. I thought at that time, none existed, so I was surprised.This is the best video of this song. I was born 1960, so all the stuff in the song was before my time, it's all from my parents' generation, but I know about all those things mentioned. I grew up hearing the hits of the Statlers, including this song, when new.
