I love your analytical, upbeat, and straight-to-the-point approach! It is so refreshing given all the other junk out there. One question I have: Of the profitable and robust strategies that you nicely reveal, do you actually trade them yourself with your money? If so, what has been your experience with real trading results either confirming or denying the profitability/robustness of some of these strategies you have published on KZbin? Just curious how much of this has been forward tested and/or tested in actual market conditions with real money in real accounts. If not already, maybe that would be a great topic for a separate video. Thanks for providing quality content!

I don't do any robustness testing on strategies published on the channel. robustness is a workflow and not a number, still most of what I publish is part of my trading repertoire so if I show mean reversion, trendfollowing or seasonal strategy then it can be converted to a robust strategy. Simple answer to profitability is anyone can do it. Trading profitably is a skill that anyone can acquire, BUT trading is only profitable when many things come together. building robust strategies that derive their profits from multiple factors (pattern, seasonal, trend, volatility), trading them in a portfolio or even multiple portfolios, have the right capital for the portfolio to be able to handle the drawdown that is acceptable for you. I have to insert my shameless plug here, because that is what I teach in my Algo Trading Masterclass Go.StatOasis.com/ATM So from the above, if 10 people trade same robust strategies in a portfolio, some will make 40% per year, some will make 10% and some will lose by only changing the starting capital. You have to learn the whole process. The good thing is time on your side to learn, as markets will increase in numbers and volume, so you can always get in the game.

May I ask you to disclose the function used in your examples above : "SOf_StockSize(Close,True,5000, Capital)" I assume it calculates the "IntPortion" of shares with its given price . Example: equals 52 shares if the share price is 95$ for a capital of 5000$ Correct?

Hi Ali, I'm trying to follow your coding showed in this video but stuck on coding the "stock size", seems my multicharts don't have the built in function of SOf_StockSize, can you give some information how to fix it? thanks a lot!

yes, that is a custom function, if you have SQX then you can use it in a simple strategy, then just copy the code. in Multichart or Tradestation, you can still do it, but you need to get account balance and divide by close price. custom function is available in go.statoasis.com/community

There is no one magical strategy, it’s multiple strategies in a portfolio then multiple portfolios. Most important is building robust strategies
