I saw them at Leeds town hall in 73/74. So so loud. I remember they had to stop the show as the balcony was moving as everyone was dancing. They put so much effort into a show. I have seen them since numerous time since and was there at the end of the road concert at Milton Keynes bowl in 84. I’m 63 now and they will always have a special place in my heart. Great memories. RIP Rick & Alan.

One of the great rockin' Lancaster songs along with Backwater, Just Take Me and Is There a Better Way. Most of my favourite Quo songs are Lancaster ones. Including the ones he didn't write but did lead vocals on, such as Junior's Wailing, Bye Bye Johnny and of course the great Roadhouse Blues. RIP Alan (Nuff) Lancaster.

The real Quo was injured when John left but died when Alan was forced out. In 2013 - 2014 the Phoenix rose from the ashes and I was lucky to see the original line up again, the last time before being 1981. Alan gave the band a harder rock edge and beautiful ballads that complimented the songs of Rossi and Parfitt, thus superb albums from 1970 to 1981. Pity Rossi and Parfitt let drugs and alcohol addle there brains.

A really hot track by Quo, especially live! I was a big fan until the tracks got less heavier in the early eighties. By then I switched to AC/DC and Motörhead. What a waste, they should have sticked to heavy rock instead of the commercial material they played later on. Alan Lancaster was very important for the basic sound of Quo.

Whatever made Rossi replace Alan with that waste of space Rhino. Every time I see him he looks so out of place, not suited to quo at all, how he has lasted so long in the band is beyond me.
