I personally completely understand Rossi’s attitude after Rick died, it was just so painful for him, so lonely without Rick, and so frightening not knowing what the future would hold for him. Totally understand why he was the way he was after Rick died.

Fully agreed. It just has to do with Francis Rossi's attitude to life and death. And he did not shed a tear when his own mother died. Rossi's feelings are so much deeper and hidden than what people are ready to believe. Both keeping a stiff upper lip on some deeply personal topics or not taking anything seriously on others, is his own way of protecting himself.

Miss ya, Rick. As for Rossi? There's no way he wrote Rick off, after he passed. We all wish we could have had a friendship like these two :-/

It takes a really loyal and dedicated team like Ricky and Francis, who have entertained people for years, I personally think that Quo will go on all the while Francis can do it 😀 but once Francis has got to the point where he can't go on ,then that will be the end, because with no Ricky and no Francis no Quo, and that will be the saddest 😢 day but when that happens atleast there memories will live on the best British band ever, I hope it's not any time soon 💙 they are a legend in their own right 💙 ❤ Quo I love you 😍 💙 ❤ Anita from Kent UK 💙

Hi Anita, I'm afraid Quo died for me when Rick passed. I remember being in Hospital visiting my Mum when I gotten news in a text. Really sad! Dave.

They seemed like soul mates. That's why I find Rossi's attitude when Rick passed away odd.

I know, it's so frustrating, you'd think he'd be heartbroken. Think he has a certain arrogance these days. Quo ended when Rick passed FACT!

I think they were for many, many years. Just seems they became more like a bitter old married couple towards the end. I'm no fan of Rossi's actions since Rick's death (especially the way he carried on with the gigs as though nothing had happened) but I think the media has twisted and made the most of his words. I find it hard to believe that Francis doesn't still think about Rick everyday, and it's important to remember that everyone is different in their ways of coping with loss. If Rossi is a private and emotionally stoic man, it would be dishonest of him to come out and cry crocodile tears in public. He may well be broken inside and we'd have no idea. His stage act is just him being a (good) frontman at the end of the day: that's his job and he's never supposed to leave the audience feeling depressed because that's not what they go to a Quo gig for. Maybe I'm being too generous to Francis but after seeing so much footage of them together over the years, I just don't believe that he feels nothing, as some people are trying to portray.

@@e-knockpower7808 Yeah I agree with everything you said. I just think he should mention Rick when he's on stage, at least say "This one's for Rick" or something. I recently saw John Coghlan's Quo and he did a superb tribute which was much appreciated. Andy Scott of Sweet always mentions Brian Connolly and Mick Tucker at his gigs. I'm going to see Francis in conversation later in the year on his "I talk too Much" tour, be interesting what he has to say for himself.

So you want Francis, an entertainer to put the crowd on a downer during a gig by talking about his dead partner.. That would be shit, bear in mind your expecting him to do this 4+ nights a week every week for the next year, or until Francis either gives up or kills himself with grief.

@@folginator Fran didn't need to mention Rick you only had to look at him,he lost so much weight in his face IT SPOKE VOLUMES

Northy . I didn’t say he has to talk about Rick, just dedicate a song to him. The fans would love it. It certainly wouldn’t put a downer on anything.

NEVER TOO LATE IS A VERY INTELLIGENT ALBUM. IT IS ONE OF THEIR BETTER ALBUMS. PROOF THAT IT WASN'T THE MUSIC THAT FORCED SPUD TO LEAVE THE BAND, IT WAS ROSSI. FRAME IS WHAT I CALL ' THE ANTI-QUO ' MY 'COMICAL' ATTEMPT AT ELEVIATING THE DEEP SADNESS AT LOSING OUR GREAT BAND IS TO CLAIM THAT ALIENS ABDUCTED THE 'REAL' ROSSI AND REPLACED HIM WITH 'THE ANTI-QUO'. SOME OF THE POST-FRANTIC FOUR ALBUMS HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE UNDER THE NAME STATUS QUO, WE KNOW WHICH ONES I MEAN. THEY BETRAY THE QUO TRADEMARK. THEY BETRAY THE GENUINE QUO SUPPORTERS. I AM A VERY PASSIONATE MUSIC LOVER AND I LOVE 'BLESSED ARE THE MEEK' FROM UTI, BUT IT'S NOT QUO!!!!!!! IT'S ONE OF MY FAVE SONGS TO SING ALONG TO. I ALSO LOVE BANDS LIKE DEAD KENNEDYS, GANG OF FOUR, SEX PISTOLS, RAMONES, I LOVE A LOT OF ALTERNATE AND DIY BANDS AND ARTISTS. I LOVE THE STOOGES AND MC5, BUZZCOCKS, IN AUSTRALIA, THERE WERE AND ARE 100'S OF AWESOME ROCK BANDS LIKE CELIBATE RIFLES, LIME SPIDERS, SPY VSPY, YOU AM I, THE SAINTS, RADIO BIRDMAN, NEW CHRISTS, X, the Meanies, Frenzal Rhomb, and Screamfeeder & the Hard-Ons FROM THE 'MEAN' STREETS OF PUNCHBOWL, SYDNEY. THE CASANOVAS FROM MELBOURNE, WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE HOW GREAT THEY ARE, THEN THERE'S THE SCIENTISTS WHO ARE A MAJOR INFLUENCE ON SEATTLE GRUNGE SCENE. AFTER PLAYING 'NIGHTRIDE' ON MY DRUMKIT, I'M CLOSE TO EXPLODING ( I HIT MY KIT VERY HARD, WITH VERY THICK STICKS ) SPLINTERS COME OFF THE HIGH HAT, SOME HIT ME IN THE FACE. I ALSO LOVE MOZART. I LOVE ARTISTS THAT ARE TRUE TO THEMSELVES AND THAT'S WHAT THE SEX PISTOLS LIKED ABOUT QUO. THE SEX PISTOLS RESPECTED QUO FOR NOT CARING WHAT THE MAINSTREAM AND MEDIA THOUGHT OR SAID ABOUT THEM. I WOULD'VE PREFERRED QUO TO STEER TOWARDS HARD RHYTHMIC ROCK, EVEN ANTI-COMMERCIAL ROCK THAN SOFT MAINSTREAM/COUNTRY MUSIC. PROBLEM WAS THAT ROSSI KNEW WHERE 'THE BODIES WERE BURIED' PLUS HE'S THE BEST LEAD GUITARIST AND SINGER A ROCK BAND COULD WISH TO HAVE APART FROM REG PARFITT. SO ROSSI WAS PROBABLY IRREPLACEABLE. I LOVE THEIR 60'S PSYCH POP/ROCK AND THEIR TRANSITION TO MA KELLY'S AND DOG OF TWO HEAD. SOME PEOPLE MAY SAY THAT THE 80'S AND 90'S QUO APART FROM THE EXCELLENT ROCK TIL YOU DROP ALBUM WAS ALSO A NATURAL CHANGE & TRANSITION. THE FACT THAT QUO HAVE BEEN FUNCTIONING FOR MANY DECADES IN DIFFERENT FORMS MEANS THAT THEY'VE BEEN ABLE TO 'COME BACK' AND PRODUCE SOME OF THE BEST ROCK ALBUMS, NOT JUST BY THEM BUT BY ANYONE, IN HEAVY TRAFFIC, 4TH CHORD, QUID PRO QUO, BULA QUO (ROCK TRACKS ) THESE ALBUMS ARE VERY CLEVER AND WELL PRODUCED. I FEEL THAT CREEPIN' UP ON YOU IS ONE OF THEIR FINEST MOMENTS. I PERSONALLY LOVE RIFFS AND FITLCENTURY, IN FACT I THINK THEY ARE BRILLIANT. THE IRONY IS THAT QUO ARE DAMNED IF THEY REPEAT THE 3 CHORD BOOGIE AND ALSO DAMNED IF THEY TRY DIFFERENT STYLES. THE QUO JOURNEY IS A ROLLER COASTER RIDE. HANG ON TIGHT.............................OR JUMP OFF
