How fascinating. How you aware as to whether they did any additional work in the studio to correct any mistakes? To be fair I think the revsmises broadcast as a wider range of shots at times. Such a shame if they really did wipe the original master tapes. To be able to watch the previous night's gig would be out of this world. It would also not be licenced to anyone and thus surely could be relaased in full. Alas as it wasn't broadcast, they probably wiped the tapes for reuse.

Overdubs will have been done when the audio tapes were taken to be remixed for the Vinyl / Cassette release in Autumn 1982. The tapes for the 14th May gig (Prince Charles Event) still exist in the BBC archives and the 13th May tapes could possibly exist also in the BBC archives, as I'm fairly certain the audio reels from the 13th May gig still exist, as they use the version of Hold You Back from that night on every release and radio broadcast of the show as opposed to the one from the Prince Charles Gig. They combined footage from both nights on these tracks; Caroline Roll Over Lay Down Backwater Whatever You Want

@@UnofficialStatusQuo I prefer the original, personally speaking, what's the point changing it. Is it live when overdubs are done?
