Coast and Geodetic Survey Marker were set across the USA at intervals that determine elevation of the ground for mapping purposes. Our topo maps were created from elevation triangles of these kinds of markers. Great job exploring again. I am going to be in Oregon in a couple of weeks visiting my son. We plan on seeing sites like these on the way home taking a few extra days to explore. Thanks for the hints.

It's hard to see in the video, but the entire lower half of the jug was rusted off. So it looks like it's stubby in the video. Large heavy handles and a sealed lid. I'm going to say milk....but I've been wrong before :)
