They play off eachother well! Jake Johnson is pretty hilarious and easy going. His comedy style I think resonates with us elder millennials I’ve noticed. I watched him on something’s burning as well, pretty much just for Jake, but he had me crying laughing. Especially when he talked about how his twins aren’t in fact conjoined. 😹 I think about that at least once a week.

In reference to Jake and Stav wondering how they became the new media. The answer seems to be your genuine demeanor in a generation with a connection crisis. People are tired of listening to legacy media which is filled with people who are worried about being blacklisted so they polish their personality until they are unenthusiastic and a shell of the personality they once were. People just want to feel like they're hanging with their homies, in a world where it's hard to find homies.

My dad wasn't totally absent but very absent between about 5 and 17. I'm 32yrs old now and we're legit friends. It took a bit of personal work on both of our sides, but wasn't particularly difficult. There are about 3 people in my life that regularly make me laugh until I cry. 2 friends and my dad. We always have a blast together, now. The "work" was me realizing that he had his own shit that he only recently started working on, and him realizing that that wasn't an excuse for what he'd done (or not done) and so he no longer had any sort of "claim" to be an authority figure for me. So we've just become, kinda, very close friends. Having a close friend is nothing to scoff at. My 4yr old daughter spends a fair bit of time with him and he's basically the best grandpa in the world lol I couldn't imagine having potentially deprived her of that for some stuff that's not NOT serious, but not THAT serious. If that makes any sense
