As soon as my youngest started school my MIL asked my husband, "So, is she going back to work now?" My husband clapped back IMMEDIATELY with, "She works harder now than she ever has... so what makes you think she is without a job?" It was THE SEXIEST thing he has ever said or done. I just simply felt seen ❤

Yes, if SAHM would treat raising their kids with the same diligence and drive as they used to have while building a corporate career before, rejoicing at their successes as if they just got a promotion or raise, treat making their home better as the projects they used to do while in corporate, they’d be SUPER fulfilled. However, most women today are too narcissistic and self centered to feel that way about their children and home as SAHM. They get more thrills from getting a small raise in the corporate, despite the politics, bad bosses, and nonsense.

Thank you so much from one stay at home mama to another. After 3.5 years of infertility and finally getting my dream come true when we got the phone call of a baby girl in need of a good home I’ve felt so much guilt surrounding my selfish thoughts. How tired I am, how the list does not end, how I no longer feel like myself, how I feel guilty that my husband who I used to work beside renovating homes is now trying to do the work of two so I can be at home with our daughter. It’s so hard some days and to know there are others who feel the same way and understand, helps just as much as a simple thank you. 💜 I always try to remember how incredibly lucky I am to have a husband who loves me no matter if my hair is fixed or up in a bun, whether I have make up on or not, and helps me clean up after dinner or even goes to pick up something to eat because this mama is exhausted from the day. 😊

Everything she said is exactly how I feel. I have been a SAHM for 8 years and am grateful for this opportunity, but it feels like the most unrewarding job ever. I left my job to care for my children because of my long work hours and my husband traveled a lot. Someone needed to be home to take care of the children. I know that I’m doing right by them because they are thriving in everything they do. They are very secure level headed happy kids. I see the fruits of my labor, but feel so unappreciated and disrespected by society. It’s also very lonely to be a SAHM. In spite of feeling like this, I thank God for this opportunity and pray that I raised good, responsible, productive children that will make him proud. Amen 🙏🏼

Yes, I say “ job” because like others who work outside the home, us stay home moms work the same and more so. Now that our 3 children are grown and have their own family, I can honestly say “ I made the right choice of being an stay home mom for all those years. As a stay at home mom of 2 preschoolers, the worst thing isn’t childcare itself, or laundry, or never ending cycle of cooking and cleaning after. The WORST aspect is not having anything exciting AND not being able to actually plan anything for yourself, bc you don’t belong to yourself, and your boss is unpredictable. My daughter turned 2 and started going to the kindergarten, but she is still adapting and often gets sick, so as soon as I’m starting to enjoy simple things like cleaning alone, working out and skincare routine, she catches sniffles and I need to cancel my doctor appointments and mani-pedi I haven’t had in years. And though you don’t get salary or any recognition whatsoever, you also never get vacation or even sick days. I admit I kinda let it happen bc I want to be a good mom and make sacrifices. But it’s a bad and intoxicating trait leading to burnout, binge eating and whining instead of enjoying your kids growing. It took me 6 years and one especially big meltdown to realize my husband can actually take sick days to take care of kids when I have fever. Don’t be me girls, stand for yourself. And I’m really grateful my kids, despite having some health issues, are relatively healthy. I can hardly imagine being a mom of a kid who is really sick. I’m not THAT strong. God bless those women.

I am a stay at home mom, homeschooling, chronic illness warrior to a kid with autism and health issues. I have been working on a course to help others from my own pain and routines that help me manage my mental and spiritual health. It’s so hard, there is no off switch. Adding a business and eating fresh Whole Foods everyday means I’m busy from the time my eyes open to the time I go to sleep. If I get enough sleep 4-5 hours, I’m surprised by exhaustion before the day starts. It’s so painful and so rewarding. I told my partner today that I sometimes feel like a single mom. His silence felt even worse. I have no choice but to keep going, be as grateful as possible and invest in my wellbeing using self care and meditation among many other things I use. May all mothers that find this know u aren’t alone. Once day our children will be adults who has someone invest into their future❤

They all had answers for themselves and their siblings, when asked what my hobby is they all said “umh cleaning?” It’s a sad truth, but I explained that a hobby is something you do FOR YOU that you enjoy doing. If you don’t understand, be happy. Staying at home is well worth the cons, but there are very big cons, with very big pros

Thank you for this video. All this needed to be said and was right on. And if people dont think being a stay at home mom is a job, then i wonder what daycare workers do all day? Only they get paid.... and theyre not responsible for everything else, laundry, taking kids to appts, shopping, etc. Etc. Etc. And for the people who say, this is all the stuff you would need to do anyway... usually with stay at home moms, they do EVERYTHING. Since the other parent works and we are home with our kids, we do everything, or most of everything, so the other parent can just focus on work and being with the kids when he gets home. So basically, we are unpaid daycare providers, while we also do everything else for the kids, and everything for the house too. I am happy to say that most people who ive told im a stay at home mom, have given me compliments for doing that, but then there are people who think children shouldnt be raised at home with their mothers and should instead go to daycare. Side note: im NOT bashing moms who choose to put their kids in daycare. Although its ideal to have the kids at home, sometimes daycare is just better for families, depending on the situation. Some moms literally cant handle not having any space away from the kids ever, and its understandable. Plus, financial reasons are sometimes a thing too. With all that being said, i am SO GRATEFUL that I am a stay at home mom and I love being able to be the one who takes care of my kids full time!

Oh My Gosh. Here I am feeling so lonely on this new journey, and feeling misunderstood. I became a SAHM at almost forty y.o. while living abroad with my family. No one understands my decision including family. Me a career girl, brave to live South America and live in my own in Europe at twenties. And now… The thing is I never felt so exhausted, besides I’m doing digital marketing some hours while baby is sleeping. Also I never felt so realized as a human being, with a life with purpose, bonded to my child and husband. …accepting that tiredness, lack of energy and loneliness will be a part of my life for a while, is one of the most difficult thing. Also that I can’t control everything, for example last night baby couldn’t sleep for hours, the day today were with me and the house in a mess trying to put together at least food and emotional comfort for my little one. God bless everyone. SAHM keep going your work is Amazing, even if cultural and societal norms don’t acknowledge it. Thank you so much for posting it. I completely relate to you. Xx

Just got to a point where my partner can be a stay at home mom after 9 years (two kids, 9 & 4). She was working from home but got laid off around the same time my income was rising. The adjustment is tough, but thankfully I work from home and can quickly engage to help with chores, and I do all the cooking of dinners promptly after work and the grocery shopping at night or weekends. I’m doing my best to make her feel like it’s not all on her, but she’s struggling with our son wanting constant attention. It’s only been a month, so it’s still very early, but I can say it’s definitely not easy. I know she feels like others think “it must be nice”, but they have no idea. Some think they prefer to work, some would rather be home, but no matter your situation, it’s always hard. Work is hard, kids are hard. Just have empathy.

Don’t be a stay at home mom under any circumstances! Don’t sacrifice yourself or your life for anyone NO EVEN FOR YOUR HUSBAND NOT EVEN FOR YOUR CHILDREN! If you do, YOU WILL REGRET IT FOR THE REST IF YOUR LIFE! You will be under appreciated by your husband and your children! When your kids grow up and way to college, your husband will kick you out or tell to go get a job…sure after 20 years? No matter what your husband says about him being able to support you and the kids….DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. After a while he will degrade you and call you stupid shit infront if your children and then your children will become their dad. I cook, I clean, i can him two boys, I do their laundries, I take them to their dr appts, I take them to school, I iron his work clothes, I mow the lawn, I washed the car, I take care of them when they are sick, I bought them their clothes, I do the grocery shopping on my own, I fix whatever maybe broken at home… Before marriage, I told him I do not want children and he said that’s fine. After we got married, he said to me that I am not his family until I give him children. So I did. Not one but two boys who does well in school because I educated them, I took care of them made sure they always had breakfast before school, always on time, took them to their sprits practices and games…all the while stressed out while he comes home eats and watch porn got caught and blames and body shamed me …I am 120 lbs. he blames me for his porn watching because my body changed…this is after I gave birth the kids he wanted. Then he slept and paid a prostitute contracted std and then infected me and lied about it. Now he and the kids treat me like I am beneath them. I am have no job I have nothing he holds all the finances. I have nothing. I am constantly regretting and contemplating suicide. I tried to hide the pain but most days I just spent wishing for death to escape this lonely life. So please before you give in to your husband think twice about it because they do change no matter how good and faithful you are and they don’t care if you end up with nothing in the end.

@ thank you 🙏🏻. I cry everyday to relieve my pain and I pray for comfort to ease my sorrow. I keep busy with house chores as to not fall into negativity. There must be a purpose for me to still be here. I do live like I am on edge everyday. I feel sad that I wasn’t given a soulmate in this life. I spent most days alone and has become a prisoner and just riding out this life til god decides to take me. Although, I wanted suicide many times, something kept telling me not to that suicide would result in in hell so I am afraid. I know it sounds da rediculous but when I feel as low as I do I am still afraid of some things. I may not be happy at home with a partner who does not value live nor family. I still respect others around me and I would greet and smile to neighbors but that is my only happy moments..the kind interaction with kind people.

@@angelonearth8498 I could have written these exact words myself 🤗🤗 I honestly also started drinking a glass of wine most evenings just to try and numb my feelings a little, and I am ashamed of myself for getting to this as I condone it... For now, it helps a little. I certainly don't recommend it to anyone, just saying what I do, shamefully. I pray things improve for you somehow as I know how much it can hurt... You are not alone 🙏💕🤗

You were a REALLY good Mom who cared deeply for your kids! You're above the rest...and You have seriously been through REALLY tough times. P--- really really kills love, marriage, children, homes and women/men who make p---. It is NOT real, is all fake. I too found out my husband was addicted to p--- after our 4th was born. I foolishly thought he would simply stop. FF to a decade later (and lots of manipulating mental abuse/games) found out he hadn't stopped. Honestly? I was relieved because now I had solid grounds for a quick divorce. But this world is harsh and doesn't see it clear. So...I simply have to become wealthy... easier said than done because only 2% make it... but hell... I've already BEEN through so much s---, I might as well work hard to be 2%er. Dani Johnson, T. Harv Eker, Florence Shinn, Les Brown and especially Louise Hay are a start.... LISTEN TO THEM DAILY. You deserve to live a great life with a REAL gentleman...NOT an adulterer LOSER!! Same with me. Your warning has not been wasted. I'm now quite terrified that my husband might do to me what he did to you. They are LIARS and not to be trusted ever. I know you will be rewarded. Like Job of old...you are in reserve for HUGE blessings after your Job like trial. I wasn't sure why I read the comments section... cuz as all moms know... I've got LOTS of things to do, but I really believe I was supposed to read your story. I'll pray for you with all the might that I have. My life line has been daily prayer, the Bible, the Book of Mormon another testament of Jesus Christ, His gospel His Church, motivational speakers prior to 2000 and kind clerk people at stores lol. I've had to cast out evil spirits many times from within with my faith in Jesus Christ....HE, the ultimate King of us all delivers. I love you. We will rise from the ash heap and turn into blessed creations!!!

Trying to decide whether or not to have kids so I’m here. Some of these things stay at home moms do sound like stuff you have to do even if you’re not a mom (cleaning [less of it, obviously]). However, it’s like husbands assume they don’t have to do any domestic tasks and it’s 100% the mom’s job, which is unfair. That’s my worst nightmare - becoming an unpaid maid for a man. SAHMs work all day. It never stops. Husbands go to work and then they feel like they worked so they don’t have to do chores.

I was a working mom with my first one I used to work 10h at day 4-5 days at week in an Amazon warehouse. My first daughter used to be in a daycare all day. I thought motherhood was easy because all I used to do was sent my daughter away to be taken care of even when I didn't work. Then the weekends dad was home so I was not only my job. Now I am a stay at home mom to a 4 year old I never felt so dry and exhausted I am grateful but I wouldn't do it again never.

I sold my 7 figure business to be a stay at home mom. I am enjoying this season in my life. I choose to focus on the positive; spending time with my kids, pouring into them. I am going to be creating content about putting life into perspective & cherishing the seeming mundane
