Dax (Daniel). The world needs you brother. I need you. Sometimes in life we end up on a path in a certain direction, and these paths allow us to met people who we would not normally. This is the beauty of a life. It is so dynamic, forever changing. I pray one day i figure this shit out so i can be happy and proud again. Thank you, Brother!

Dax, I have to tell you man, You and a few other artists have been my lifeblood since I found your music. It is as real as you can humanly possibly get and I really appreciate that sir. From the dark demon battles to the love for the mom all the way to the struggle with Christ. I had a thought to tell you I know I won’t get to meet on this earth but I can’t wait to meet and enjoy your rapping and singing in heaven as you boast Gods Glory. Thank you very much for your existence and your music. I hope you have a great day and I hope this song smashes right into the hearts of the most hardened hearts. We need this song right now.

This song hits so hard. But i will say even though i deal with sever depresion at times because i cant do what i use to, My wife has always been there and now supports me. The boys are now grown men that do all thaey can for there family. So i feel like im not a man and a failure and at times everyone wants things from me but when things went down my family showed me that it was not in vein. I'm now happily divorced from a woman who wanted to be a stay at home mom, but she also thought "feminist" meant she didn't have to do "traditional/domestic" work even though I was expected to be a traditional man. The lyrics of this song are all too true to me.
@MrsRealistic
@MrsRealistic Жыл бұрын
Wow... yes unfortunately feminism has taken a turn for the worst. It used to mean equality and it's morphed into man hating. I've had people assume that I just put my kids in daycare and go out "lunching" and shopping with my girlfriends. 🤦‍♀️ If I'm going shopping, it's with the kids...to the grocery store 😆 I'm glad you're out of that situation! Hopefully you'll find a woman who will appreciate you! Blessings 🙏

@@MrsRealistic I made it through the pandemic with 100% custody of two kids while the schools were closed and while I was simultaneously fighting to keep the home that I bought and built and while I worked full time paying child support and alimony supposedly so she could afford to set herself up to help take care of the kids. Instead she rented a 1 bedroom apartment and didn't try to get a job - planning to live off me for the rest of her life. I never intend to marry or even have a serious relationship again. I actually find that I have one less person to take care of and I don't get criticized because I didn't "do enough" or didn't "do it right". Why would I want to put ANY energy or resources into someone who doesn't add anything to my life and especially when they can take so much from me? I'm happier now than I have been in well over a decade. I know. I'm over-sharing. Still traumatized.

@@kylefrandsen2665 I don't blame you honestly. I wouldn't want to be dating in this climate either. There are some really shitty people out there... and women are part of that. @@robertruss305 It can be a rough road, but you will make it to the other side. My divorce took almost 4 years because of the pandemic and custody battle and cost me hundreds of thousands of dollars and I'll never be able to retire, but now I wake up and don't have somebody look at me like I'm the cause of all her misery (she was miserable before and is still miserable). I was able to keep the house I bought and personally remodeled to raise our kids in and still have about 65% custody and I'm happier than I have been in a long time. You CAN do it.

@@rodgentle9605 I appreciate your take. We are extremely open with each other and honestly I think many people would be surprised about what we share with each other. But we've talked about a lot of this since this great song came out and it's opened a whole new dialog which has been great. There are things I will never understand of course, and things he will probably not share. We can never truly understand each other simply because men and women are different (are we allowed to say that anymore? 🤪😄) But we joke around with each other a lot and he has a great sense of humor... one of the many things that first made me fall in love with him. We've been together for 17 years and have 3 beautiful children. In the end, we just try to be supportive of one another and show each other appreciation. He actually edited this one for me and liked my reaction 🤷‍♀️ His father was in the hospital fighting for his life when he did this reaction, so the song hit him pretty hard. Thankfully his dad recovered. Thanks for your comment 😊 God bless 🙏

If you met my husband and saw how much of a *Lion* he is for his family, you'd probably understand his emotions to this song a bit better. 😉 We've learned from many mistakes...lots of bumps in the road! I pray you find a partner in life, who will appreciate what you do. Blessings to you! 🙏

I'll be 40 next month and i put a lot of MY wants on hold throughout my life because of the things spoken in this song. I've been engaged twice and both left as soon as things got tough. It always felt like it was my fault we didn't have money, we didn't have nice things, i couldn't take her to dinner ect ect. With the crash of 2008 and 2010, then the pandemic work became incredibly hard to find. I always wanted kids but i never wanted kids with someone i didn't know i was going to spend the rest of my life with. Your husband's reaction was exactly my reaction when i heard this song - to a T.

Thank you so much for your comment! I'm glad you got out of those relationships before the actual marriage! You need a ride or die woman! We lost everything in the crash, around 2009, so I know that struggle for sure. We had to crawl our way back up and it's a hard road! I wish you better things to come! Blessings to you🙏

Much love to you Caveman. Thank you for showing us your emotions. As a man, I struggled so long with my emotions because I was thought weak if I did. As a veteran, we have to hold our emotions at bay because we can't let it take the best of us. As a father, I can't show weakness in front of my kids or else they start to worry about my problems. When I showed my emotions to my ex-wife, she left me... So I'm glad you found someone who can love you at your most vulnerable. That's hard to find and definitely a catch. Definitely a subscribe to this channel.

Thank you! Yes, it's a balance. Men need to be able to "man up" to protect and lead the family, but that family also needs to know that he loves and cares for them. I've known men who's OVERLY emotional personalities were total turn offs...There's a time and a place for sure. 👍 My husband just happens to have a big heart... but he's the wrong guy to mess with when it comes to his family. You just haven't found the yin to your yang. Women who appreciate it are still out there!

I have a best mate, and the struggles he has endured as a young boy to now, a father himself are so well represented in this song it felt like it was written to him. So when I searched KZbin for this song and read the title of your video, I was not prepared for the tears that began to stream down my face.....to be clear, the tears started flowing after I read the title of your video. I was a blubbering mess as I watched it. Holy hell this song is so incredibly touching and I can't thank you both enough for creating this video and sharing your reactions, those raw emotions with the world. Amen!! And society is trying to teach men to go against their instincts! The term toxic masculinity is so ridiculous. I don't know any women who like men who act like women. This was such a GOOD IDEA! Thank you SO MUCH for being there for your husband. I can clearly tell that you are a ride or die woman for him and that is awesome. 80% of divorces are filed by women. Of that 80% more than 70% is because of "money issues". What Dax speaks about here is not a minority of women. It is the majority of modern women sadly. The radicalisation of the feminist movement is a massive culprit. Also, the welfare state that incentivizes women to raise children alone without the father in the home. Thankfully I have an amazing mother and father who raised me right. My parents were together all the way until my dad passed away in 2018 and even though he is no longer with us and my mom is widowed they are technically still together because my mom refuses to accept the love of another man and he is always in our thoughts and talked about every day. You are clearly an amazing woman who doesn't fall in with the horrible course that modern women today are on. You clearly love and support your husband and I bet if he were to lose all income, the house, the car and everything else you own that you would STILL stay with him because you love and support him and you truly believe in the vows you made on your wedding day. Again, thank you for sharing your reaction to your husbands reaction. It's really refreshing to see true love and support represented on the screen for a change.

It's a shame because not all women appreciate the sacrifices we men make. We aren't perfect, but do the best we can to support our families. I suppose the very worst is when the kids are grown and off to college, wifey takes that opportunity to go her own way along with most of the wealth built through out the years and not even have enough respect to tell us why. God bless the two of you!!

Both caveman's reaction and your reaction had me crying like a baby. I've felt useless my whole life. I have a severe mental illness and I've never been able to hold down a job, and thus I've never been able to find a girl. It makes sense, and I'm not bitter about it. I understand. Nobody wants to be with someone like me, and rightly so. Well, guess what? For the first time in my life, I'm about to start working. It's not a fun job, it'll be backbreaking grueling work, and I'll be cleaning nasty toilets and scrubbing baseboards and all kinds of stuff my mind and body aren't used to. But I think it will be good for me. I'll be making $30 an hour. I'll finally have a sense of purpose. I'll finally get to go to bed exhausted. If it sounds strange to be excited about that, try living 32 years on this planet with no sense of direction, or purpose. Knowing it doesn't matter if you go to bed at 8pm or 8am. Knowing tomorrow will be EXACTLY the same as today. Empty. A worthless, wasted life. I'm sick of it. I don't care how much it kills me, I'm going to do this job, and I'm not going to quit. For my potential future wife (unlikely to happen) but also for me. I need this. I need to work. I need to change my own life. God isn't going to reach down and drop purpose into my lap. Purpose comes WITH work and effort and trying and overcoming. That's where the purpose lives. I finally understand. I will overcome. This is my war, and I haven't been fighting it. The enemy has gained a lot of ground. It's about time I take it back. God bless you, caveman, and your family. Thank you for sharing your perspectives with me. I am inspired.

The wedding day caused that reaction... because in the beginning you have the world by the balls and you have your whole future ahead of you... but when you look back 25 - 30 years later... after all the struggle... the fights... the trauma... the time you have left doesn't seem so hot. But when you look back and remember that feeling you had that day... it's a double edged sword. It reminds you of how happy you were... but then you realize how hard shit is now... and how little time you have left to fix any of it. That said... I've lost everything three times... and came back stronger each time because I refused to step backwards. But all the hurt doesn't ever really go away... it just gets drowned out from time to time. But I'm still here... and I still do the best I can.

We were together for 5 years before we tied the knot and our story is complicated. But, I asked my husband about that scene. He said the guy doesn't know what he's in for, but at the same time, the work that you have to put in isn't "bad", it's about the process that you go through to raise your kids and support your family. It's like, the fresh faced guy, not knowing all the work it's going to take...but that it's not necessarily negative. After all, for us, it's given him 3 children who are his world. 😊🙌 And you're so right... after we lost it all, he never gave up and we worked for years to get back to where we are now. It's that ingrained "masculine instinct" that kept us from going under. I took care of the kids, while he worked tirelessly to keep us safe. Thank you for your comment! Blessings to you🙏

Your husband seems like an amazing man. You guys look happy, in love. I personally do not know what this feels like anymore. I have ruined so many aspects of my life and those around me due to emotional issues getting in the way of being who i am needed to be. I miss the feelings and emotions i see you and your husband experience. My wife now literally hates me and reminds me everyday what a piece of shit i am. I get no praise from her and very little from my daughters. I feel so lonely most days, as well guilt and sadness from the decisions i have made affecting my two daughters, my ex wife, and my current wife. Not to mention the emotional pain has caused me to retreat to an addiction of sorts, and avoid my family. It is a cycle i know i must break. I have known this for years, yet here we still are. Many times i have felt like dying would be the best for all parties involved, because my self worth is so low...who would miss me, right?. Thankfully i am still here. I need artists like Dax, Tom Mac, Jelly Roll. Anyone who puts themself out there, on full display. Thank you to both you and your caveman. Be well! ..and you tube told me this may go against their standards....they dont realize im talking about myself i guess

Wow, your story is heartbreaking. I'm so sorry you're going through this. But it sounds like you're aware enough about the issues to rebuild. Miracles happen, pray, even if you don't believe. There will ALWAYS be someone who misses you, even if you don't think so. We've been through a lot of shit... and marriage isn't easy. We weren't always in a good place. My husband said if you need a friend or someone to listen, hit him up any time. 😊👍

@@MrsRealistic I appreciate these kind words. I am not innocent, tho. I feel to a degree i deserve the anger, mistrust, and shit i get sometimes. Something else i realize is we need to talk through our emotions, but sadly writing these comments on videos is the only outward expression i ever engage in. I just may take your husband up on his offer to talk one day.! Thank you both!

@@danielnigra1922 None of us are innocent. I'm guilty of many things I wish I could take back, and so is my husband. All we can do is try to do better moving on! My husband is a pretty open book, so communication isn't hard for him... but I had to learn how to not run away from conflict and talk things out. He and I have very opposite personality types. He's loud and outspoken, and I'm much more reserved. It's a lot of work, but I think everyone can heal given the chance! I truly believe iron sharpens iron...and talking these things out with another man can really be cathartic.

I just came across this video and I must say that this is THE BEST reaction video I have ever seen! Its so raw and just there. Im a combat veteran and have been out of the military for 11 years and I still cant allow myself to cry in front of my wife and son because I lived for so long in the "dont show your emotions" life. This is a real struggle for some if not most men and I honestly applaud your man for being able to show his emotions like he does. This is a song and a reaction video that I think a lot of people really need to see so that people will 1, be made aware of that stigma that men face and 2, see that it is ok for men to show their emotions. Once again, this is a great video!

You're so kind, thank you! You can watch the whole video of my husband's on his channel as well, i linked it in the description. He also did a follow up "story time" to explain a little bit of what I was talking about. Thank you for your service. God bless you 🙏

Yeah it’s absolutely how much real manhood has declined so much over the last handful of years, im eternally grateful my old man was just like the guy in the music video aside from the alcohol, my dad never touched it. But yeah im not gonna claim to be a big fan of Dax, just not kinda music, but this song definitely hits home for alot of guys. U mind me asking what the home business is? If not that’s ok

The real problem isn't us working hard God built us to work we know what we supposed to do its The women who forgot what God made them for and to do 😢😢🙏🏽

You're 100% right. But women haven't forgotten... they've been brainwashed to believe that being a wife and a mother is not important and third wave feminism has degraded the family structure that has worked since the dawn of time. My life would be meaningless without my family and my children. Children are wealth. And I don't mean monetarily. Men and women are different and we are supposed to be. The system would like us to all be the "same" and ignore our natural physiology. We are not equal. We are not meant to be. We are both important in the rolls that fit us naturally. But this type of thinking has been labeled "patriarchy". It's ridiculous. Thank you for your comment. God bless you 🙏
