From the dark demon battles to the love for the mom all the way to the struggle with Christ. I had a thought to tell you I know I won’t get to meet on this earth but I can’t wait to meet and enjoy your rapping and singing in heaven as you boast Gods Glory. @@rodgentle9605 I appreciate your take. We are extremely open with each other and honestly I think many people would be surprised about what we share with each other. But we've talked about a lot of this since this great song came out and it's opened a whole new dialog which has been great. There are things I will never understand of course, and things he will probably not share. We can never truly understand each other simply because men and women are different (are we allowed to say that anymore? 🤪😄) But we joke around with each other a lot and he has a great sense of humor... one of the many things that first made me fall in love with him. We've been together for 17 years and have 3 beautiful children. In the end, we just try to be supportive of one another and show each other appreciation. He actually edited this one for me and liked my reaction 🤷♀️ His father was in the hospital fighting for his life when he did this reaction, so the song hit him pretty hard. @@MrsRealistic I made it through the pandemic with 100% custody of two kids while the schools were closed and while I was simultaneously fighting to keep the home that I bought and built and while I worked full time paying child support and alimony supposedly so she could afford to set herself up to help take care of the kids. Instead she rented a 1 bedroom apartment and didn't try to get a job - planning to live off me for the rest of her life. I never intend to marry or even have a serious relationship again. I actually find that I have one less person to take care of and I don't get criticized because I didn't "do enough" or didn't "do it right". Why would I want to put ANY energy or resources into someone who doesn't add anything to my life and especially when they can take so much from me? I'll be 40 next month and i put a lot of MY wants on hold throughout my life because of the things spoken in this song. I've been engaged twice and both left as soon as things got tough. It always felt like it was my fault we didn't have money, we didn't have nice things, i couldn't take her to dinner ect ect. With the crash of 2008 and 2010, then the pandemic work became incredibly hard to find. I always wanted kids but i never wanted kids with someone i didn't know i was going to spend the rest of my life with. Your husband's reaction was exactly my reaction when i heard this song - to a T.

This was such a GOOD IDEA! Thank you SO MUCH for being there for your husband. I can clearly tell that you are a ride or die woman for him and that is awesome. 80% of divorces are filed by women. Of that 80% more than 70% is because of "money issues". What Dax speaks about here is not a minority of women. It is the majority of modern women sadly. The radicalisation of the feminist movement is a massive culprit. Also, the welfare state that incentivizes women to raise children alone without the father in the home. Thankfully I have an amazing mother and father who raised me right. My parents were together all the way until my dad passed away in 2018 and even though he is no longer with us and my mom is widowed they are technically still together because my mom refuses to accept the love of another man and he is always in our thoughts and talked about every day. You are clearly an amazing woman who doesn't fall in with the horrible course that modern women today are on. You clearly love and support your husband and I bet if he were to lose all income, the house, the car and everything else you own that you would STILL stay with him because you love and support him and you truly believe in the vows you made on your wedding day. Again, thank you for sharing your reaction to your husbands reaction. It's really refreshing to see true love and support represented on the screen for a change.

Both caveman's reaction and your reaction had me crying like a baby. I've felt useless my whole life. I have a severe mental illness and I've never been able to hold down a job, and thus I've never been able to find a girl. It makes sense, and I'm not bitter about it. I understand. Nobody wants to be with someone like me, and rightly so. Well, guess what? For the first time in my life, I'm about to start working. It's not a fun job, it'll be backbreaking grueling work, and I'll be cleaning nasty toilets and scrubbing baseboards and all kinds of stuff my mind and body aren't used to. But I think it will be good for me. I'll be making $30 an hour. I'll finally have a sense of purpose. I'll finally get to go to bed exhausted. If it sounds strange to be excited about that, try living 32 years on this planet with no sense of direction, or purpose. Knowing it doesn't matter if you go to bed at 8pm or 8am. Knowing tomorrow will be EXACTLY the same as today. Empty. A worthless, wasted life. I'm sick of it. I don't care how much it kills me, I'm going to do this job, and I'm not going to quit. For my potential future wife (unlikely to happen) but also for me. I need this. I need to work. I need to change my own life. God isn't going to reach down and drop purpose into my lap. Purpose comes WITH work and effort and trying and overcoming. That's where the purpose lives. I finally understand. I will overcome. This is my war, and I haven't been fighting it. The enemy has gained a lot of ground. It's about time I take it back. God bless you, caveman, and your family. Thank you for sharing your perspectives with me. I am inspired.

Your husband seems like an amazing man. You guys look happy, in love. I personally do not know what this feels like anymore. I have ruined so many aspects of my life and those around me due to emotional issues getting in the way of being who i am needed to be. I miss the feelings and emotions i see you and your husband experience. My wife now literally hates me and reminds me everyday what a piece of shit i am. I get no praise from her and very little from my daughters. I feel so lonely most days, as well guilt and sadness from the decisions i have made affecting my two daughters, my ex wife, and my current wife. Not to mention the emotional pain has caused me to retreat to an addiction of sorts, and avoid my family. It is a cycle i know i must break. I have known this for years, yet here we still are. Many times i have felt like dying would be the best for all parties involved, because my self worth is so low...who would miss me, right?. Thankfully i am still here. I need artists like Dax, Tom Mac, Jelly Roll. Anyone who puts themself out there, on full display. Thank you to both you and your caveman. @@danielnigra1922 None of us are innocent. I'm guilty of many things I wish I could take back, and so is my husband. All we can do is try to do better moving on! You're 100% right. But women haven't forgotten... they've been brainwashed to believe that being a wife and a mother is not important and third wave feminism has degraded the family structure that has worked since the dawn of time. My life would be meaningless without my family and my children. Children are wealth. And I don't mean monetarily. Men and women are different and we are supposed to be. The system would like us to all be the "same" and ignore our natural physiology. We are not equal. We are not meant to be. We are both important in the rolls that fit us naturally. But this type of thinking has been labeled "patriarchy". It's ridiculous. Thank you for your comment. God bless you 🙏

For context : i work in mental health training our social workers, and this is 💯 true. As a man who works in it and deals with it, having that support is monumental for us. Love this reaction video! ❤

This song makes me so emotional and helps me understand the struggles that men go through and the expectations that society puts on them.

Just happened by your channel and saw the song by Dax. I saw the same song with a cameo from Darrius Rucker and it brought me to tears. Your husband is a very blessed man to have you. It's a shame because not all women appreciate the sacrifices we men make. We aren't perfect, but do the best we can to support our families. I suppose the very worst is when the kids are grown and off to college, wifey takes that opportunity to go her own way along with most of the wealth built through out the years and not even have enough respect to tell us why. God bless the two of you!!

This whooooole video hit home so hard. We too lost everything once and hit took bottom. Without the conviction and hard work of my amazing God fearing husband we would have crumbled

I feel that to the core! We were stuck in NM for about 10 months. Thankfully I found a job for him here in Texas and we moved 2 weeks later! I hope you are in a better place now! God bless you and your husband!

Very powerful song I lost my Dad in 2014 and I miss him so much. If you still have your father here with you please show them how much you appreciate everything they do. I lost both of my parents.. I miss them both. Dax you nailed it

I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband lost his mother about 3 years ago and his dad was fighting for his life in the hospital when he did his reaction. He survived thank God. I'm blessed to have my parents still alive, but they live in Canada so I rarely see them. God bless 🙏

Its heartwarming to hear that you two have that kind of trust where he opens up to you, and that you respect him enough to support him and because of that you two support eachother. This does not seem to be common today. I hope that is wrong. Im sure he would move a mountain for you because of your support.
