All a man wants is to provide for the people that we love and when we can't do that it eats us up. I moved from Florida to new mexico to be with a woman i love but when i got here i couldn't get a full time job anywhere. I started feeling frustrated and inadequate and turned to drinking to drown out my thoughts. One night about 2 months ago i got drunk and started an argument and her dad got involved and things turned violent. I've never been in any trouble with the law, not even a parking ticket and now I'm awaiting trial where i could be facing a year in prison. I'm homeless now but i have a part time job and stay in a motel when i can. I sat in the shower for an hour with a blade one night trying to get uo the courage to end it. I can't help but think that if i hadn't bottled up my feelings and coped with them in a more healthy manner i wouldn't be in this situation.

Writing from Portugal I grew up listening that a man has to be a man. Hold is head and chin up high and be the foundations of a family. Then people started to call that "toxic masculinity" and basically demanding for men to "deconstruct" themselves if they want to keep having any value and respect. To learn to show feelings and emotions that we used to hide away. They say that is the way to find out that we can still be respected even if we let people see us weaker or hurting. THAT IS NOT TRUE. Women can keep saying that, but that is not what happens. Life taught me that regardless of what anybody can say. If we, has a man, let our women see us weak more than a few times, we start seeing the way they look at us changing, we see the respect fading from their eyes followed by the lost of respect to us has their man. Because even if they want to have our back, they want us to be the shoulder for them to lean on. And when that happens it never goes back... When a woman looses respect towards her man, she will never again see him like she did. And that I learned from women through out my life...

Gentle Men, I'm so sorry you as a gender, are having to go through this. You may think women don't understand. Unfortunately we know every one of those emotions. I'm 60yrs. Old. I've had a couple times when I held no value and thought everyone would be better off if I just returned to dirt. The song and the voices are incredible and heart wrenching. My advice, do some research. Ever hear the term trophy Wife. Also go back through history. With open eyes and hearts. You will find a lot of similarities between the genders and there feeling's. I think it's harder for a man to express the feelings. Where woman find it harder to get exceptence of the feelings. Ever heard of Mother's Little helper? I truly wish I could hug you all, tell you it's going to be okay because the Lord is your Copilot. Plus only strong carring men can put out a song like that, beautiful and very correct.

I think about it often, already planned it out. Sometimes I stand waiting at the lights, look at the vehicles and think about stepping out. But then I think about that poor driver, think about my mom and child and I suppress it. But it's always there like a thorn in my mind, had depression since an early age. I'm extremely self destructive ruined most of my life, though I'm in the home stretch now. I should not have been born, though I know that's an insult to my mom. Some things are not meant to be, if I could swap with a child dying I would. But that's how it is, don't want to stay but I can't leave. And it's like a battle in your mind constantly, it's not all been bad but I hope reincarnation, is not a thing because I don't want to come back.

I can’t begin to imagine, how u have been feeling all these years, I’m suffering with anxiety & depression too, for many years now. I just keep thinking to myself that if I did do anything then I’d be the selfish one, as I’d be gone but my wife & 2 kids would have to live with that, love with me being gone and the way I went from this world. We all suffer differently sometimes it’s easy and other days we are in a dark place with no way out. But u have to remember that we all have someone who will be there for us. Even for a chat. We don’t know each other at all, but they doesn’t mean I wouldn’t help you or anyone out just like I would a close friend. So just remember that u are loved and you would be missed. Dear beautiful human, Dear you, just now I read your comment, can relate to you eventhough I'm a woman. Trying my best to cope with life, my Godchild committed suicide 6 years ago, after her children were taken away, after years is sickness and living of foodstamps etc. Her action has given her peace, I'm glad for her. But now after all these years I was on the verge of doiing the same, could not do it for the same reasons as you mentioned. And my babygirl doggy Diva jumped on my lap and didn't stop staring at me until I calmed down. She has been put down a month agobso now I'm lost again.... you are not alone, you are loved (even if you don't know me) I want to give you the biggest hug your heart can handle and warm and happy thoughts for your mind. We don’t do what all reaction channels do, we make it different. We always go back a few seconds anyway, so nothing is missed. It certainly didn’t mess it up. We have got thousands of views on this and all incredible lovely comments, so I’m sure we have done something right. But none the less, we appreciate your view & comment.
