This song is a mixed bag of emotions, so please try to put yourself in everyones shoes! Bruno, wanting Mirabel to know the truth, Julieta having raised Mirabel and terrified of what she'd think of them for keeping this from her, and Pepa furious that her family is broken. I was in much pain making this :)
Also fun fact! Before I went on live to premier this song it got deleted on bandcamp! So I had to spend two hours rerecording everything and masting the whole thing. Hence the quality and the more simplistic video style. Thank you so much for watching and I look forward to bringing you the next one (hint: Mirabel is gonna be singing next time). Much love!

Nice work. I can also imagine this being a cumpley different fight between Mira and her mother. But when Mira,s older and with her own kids and Juileta wants to be a part of her life again and be with her grandchildren but Mira,s still angry with her for lying to her about Brono for 10 years so she's like look Mom I understand what you had to do to raise me well and you did . But you still lied to me about Tio Bruno being my birth father and I'm sorry but I don't want my kids knowing that their grandmother is a lier. And then just walking away.

Like Julietta is worried that knowing the truth will make Mirabel hate her for lying to her all her life, which *ow* And Pepa was hurt by Bruno leaving her behind without even saying goodbye, so she’s siding with Julietta because Julietta never left and picked up his slack with Mirabel (at least that’s how I interpret it) And then BRUNO- Bruno was hurting and stressed and he couldn’t handle staying where he was so he had to leave for what he thought was the best, but now he’s ready to try and heal and his sisters won’t let him!! Think about, in the papa Bruno AU, when Mirabel doesn’t seem to get a gift, the family might think it’s only inherited through the maternal line, putting even more pressure on Isabela, and putting another wedge between Bruno, Mirabel and everyone else.

I LOVE this aswell as the rest of the songs. I love the way you write these songs, and translate them into emotions. And as a fellow writer, who has dabbled in the art of fanfiction, I can say this au and its flow is amazing. Felix and Agustin knowing Bruno would be an amazing father, Mirabel not knowing, Pepa and Julieta wanting it to be hush hush. I can't wait to see what's next, and I hope we get to see Isabela, Luisa, Dolores, and Camilo's takes on the situation. Or at least the first three as they'd surely be old enough to rememeber. I keep imagining Mirabel was going to walk into where these three are having the conversation to ask Julieta to help make some food and stops before entering and hides and hears the hole thing. I imagine Dolores, Luisa, Isabela, and Mirabel are having a girl hang out which is why Mirabel came to ask for some help making food. Mirabel runs back and tells them what she heard. The other three calm her down and comfort her. When dinner time comes I imagine it will be a well disaster that turns into the family getting closer.

I just realised that the rain and thunder is from Pepa. Wait, so, basically this is that one AU where Bruno is actually Mirabel's biological father but after he left Julieta and Agustin raised her as their own? And now he's back and he wants to tell Mirabel the truth but Julieta and Pepa don't want him to because Julieta doesn't want to let go of Mirabel, she's the one that raised her, and she's afraid of what Mirabel would think if she knew Bruno was her biological father and the family drove him into hiding? Is that right? Damn, this is way too sad! I'm bored so I'll show you my OC cuz I believe in Papa Bruno Here he is so he is Bruno's son and well Bruno left when he was a newborn His name is Claudio Everything he writes or draws comes to life Ex- if he writes a story, poem, limerick, haiku then it will come to life Age- 10 when Bruno "left" the family continued to pretend everything was normal or something Claudio became an outcast in his own family nobody ever mentions Bruno around Claudio so Claudio has got no clue about anything I came to the conclusion that all the family must struggle with something so Claudio's gift is whatever he writes comes to life so he thinks that his gift is useless to the family and the town so he thinks he is useless Claudio mainly writes poems because he loves seeing his poems come to life Claudio always gets in trouble with Pepa no matter what and sometimes for something he didn't do I was bored
