I'm one of them that thinks that the back door to addiction has been shut. Guess what? I'm dead wrong! Just because I think that I'm done doesn't mean a damn thing. I must be vigilant. I must be looking at improving myself daily. No, I have no desire to ever use, but I cannot get fat and lazy. OMG. Ryann YOU Probably HAVE NO Idea HOW VITAL YOU ARE TO THOSE IN RECOVERY! You are wise beyond years. A god send.

I love yours vids, I've been trying to get my husband to watch you with me, as we (especially him) are fighting the battle. I've been sober for almost 7 months. Don't ever stop! You helping more people than you really know.

Hey Ryan. Caught that at the end about your dog 🐶, awww, hope he's doing better! Loved this subject today, thank you! I start everyday by reading my "Just for today" from the NA app! Love it. My bf believes that theory of just forgetting that lifestyle, and moving on. I of course disagree with him on that and tell him why I need to constantly remind myself where I came from. He thinks I waste my time watching these KZbin channels. But that's him. Anyway, exciting about the NBC thing! Congrats! Take care, God bless!

A very true statement and video. I can honestly admit since the recent passing of my Father the urge has presented it's ugly head. I'm not giving in and working extra hard to be busy and still going through the grieving process. I just continue to stay green and fight.

Its so awesome and so sad how many views your videos are getting. awesome because anybody like me who has no support has something so useful here. sad because look at all the people needing help who society, for the most part doesnt support the way they should an cause the disease of addiction to fester in so many great people.

"Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is the definition of Insanity'.... I go to this cliche' phrase whenever I feel I can use again without the same thing happening.... and, there is no doubt, as one feels better and time goes by, you will be tempted in some crisis or some stressful moment to revisit 'old ways' thinking somehow you can handle it this time because you learned through personal experience. These are the most critical turns in recovery where one must choose to go right rather than left!

also ryan look at the pain opiate addicts go through in their early life. my father went off when I was 5 my mother never recovered started drinking and taking librium. in all my childhood I never had a hug from either of my parents and never told me they loved me. I'm not looking for sympathy but did I look for a cuddle and hug from OPIATES!!!!????

Hey Ryan. have you ever looked into Rational Recovery? I couldn't bring myself to adopt the 12 step philosophy, when I found RR it really hit home for me and made recovery a lot less difficult.
@kellylb19778 жыл бұрын
What should you do if your in recovery and have a medical diagnosis that's needs surgery to fix and will most likely require pain meds after the procedure? Do you tell them you can't take anything because you have a past with opiates and endure the pain ? I'm having surgery for my 3 degenerating disks and I'm scared of accepting any pain management after surgery.

Is it okay if you don't count the days I'm clean?

Totally ok. Personally I remeber first time getting sober I was counting days and when I relapsed and lost that number it devastated me and did more harm then good.
