Dude look at Gavi's age. And look at his rate of development. Man brings something new every game. In just last 3 or 4 Laliga games did I come to know how good his defensive gamr can be. For all we know he could develop into Frenkie's long awaited partner behind Pedri. He's phenomenal. Id start him every game and replace Busquets with Frenkie. Pedri Frenkie Gavi is the way to go.

However I'd say Gavi is actually incredibly gifted technically, it's just that he's a little raw and his decision making is a little too rash, to put it simple he's lacking what Pedri has, pausa and maturity, I'd argue he's actually a better dribbler than Pedri, but the latter is the better controller. I know the comparison has been overused but they're kind of like Xavi Iniesta, one is the controller, the other causes the chaos. Ying and Yang.

Eric Garcia has improved a lot in one season. But like a lot of the rest of the team he's still really young and needs the champions league mentality. Xavi said it correctly after the draw against Inter that ucl is cruel and 5 mins of loss of focus can cost a lot. This team will gradually learn that. We just need to be patient. In that sense us Barça fans need to learn from liverpool and Arsenal fans and trust Xavi. He's already improved our condition a LOT.

But doing continuous drills imprkve their skillset and creating continuous chances enriches their footballing IQ. That makes Man City players look good. Moreover they have the resources in simple word money to grab the potent players. In Barcelona it doesn't go like that for the players. I haven't seen actually getting inside Barcelona but their performance indicates that. I'll ask your early pardon if you find it wrong.

Gavi's technical abilities are sooooo badly underrated... He's definitely not only an off the ball player. He's actually a better playmaker than De Jong (he's far better than Frenkie in key passes and through balls) and he's also a good dribbler. I'm sure you'll 100% acknowledge this in 5 years when he's 23 (also you have the stats to confirm it). Nico is a clear keep. Amazing Busquets replacement + he's from la Masia. Piqué and Jordi Alba cannot be sold... They just won't leave, same way Frenkie did.

Sergi Roberto has finally managed to start performing this season. Eric Garcia is a good passer but as a CB - you just can't be so disastrous at defending. Man has to go, maybe on loan. Jordi Alba can stay til' the end of the contract, he just can't run back so don't put him for the whole 90 min or not in games where we don't have Araujo and Kounde as CBs. Ferran Torres plays incredibly well with Spain, I suppose that's why he's in this team, but they must find a way for him to fit in or just leave the spot for Depay.

Bellerin is a very good player. Idk what you're in about. And he's a huge improvement on Dest. Pique has been very good in every single game besides Inter. It happens, but he should be getting phased out. Jordi alba must stay. He plays so much better with our forwards than our other full backs, including Balde. But Balde hopefully begins to gel with the team more. Balde is probably better in defense than Jordi alba, so should be played in the bigger games, but Alba can definitely help us dominate against many la Liga opposition.

Lenglet is phenomenal at ball progression and breaking lines. His occasional, but slightly too common, defensive switch offs mean that yes he is better in a back 3. We could keep him, for the rotation and when we need a change of system, but it's fair enough to sell him. Especially if we do let pique go, and get rid of Alonso and let Jordi go too, having an extra body there in defense could be important in the long run.

I don't see the point of keeping Rafinha. its or him or Dembele, they are both right-wingers that can't play well in the left wing, both cost a fortune when Barcelona don't have a left winger at the moment. Ansu Fati can play both right and left and he is an amazing young promise for the club, but still not too stable. sell Raphine, and buy a left-wing star (Vinicius :D), and another young one, left-wing or both sides, or at least a cheaper one or free transfer player. in that way you have a deep bench, don't waste money on two expensive amazing players that cannot play together, finally will have an attack on the left side of the pitch too, and a healthy contest between the players on the opening squad.

As a Barca fan, I agree with almost everything you said. Almost. I believe Dest has an option to buy in his loan deal, and we don't want him back. We need to buy two right backs. Like we have needed to do every season since Alves left (the fist time). We have been extremely frustrated with de Jong at times. Yes, he's good, but he's just neither as good nor as consistent as Gavi. Frenkie should probably play in Busquets' place this season, but I don't think we will miss him or his wages when he leaves for Premier League next season. I loved your "WHAT WAS THIS SIGNING?!" Please take Ferran back to the Premier League, thanks!
