I think if you are just Chelsea you hold onto Kante as a squad player and start working on getting an upcoming player up to speed for to eventually take over. You just wont get a big enough offer to let him go. I think you can stretch 2-3 more years out of him as a rotational player. Chelsea has so much depth in many positions and I think they need to look at rotating and refreshing the squad players. I think they need to really focus on evaluating how players fit into the system. I feel like a few too many players are wasting away on the bench at Chelsea.

Kepa is unmovable at his wages. He will never again make as much money as he is at Chelsea. He wont make even 1/2 of his wages on another team. That contract runs for another 3 seasons. They could literally give him away for free on transfer and if I were Kepa I would refuse.

i can't say i disagree with most of these choices. i do like the idea of getting some players loaned out to Everton, Gilmour and Hudson-Odoi could get some good first team experience working under a familiar face in big Frank. i do disagree with Ziyech leaving this summer, he has been a good impact player in limited minutes and still has room to improve and command a larger fee. i can only hope J5 and Kante sign extensions to their deals or we may need to change systems.

Kante is so smart and skilled, he is worth paying even with his fitness issues. Same for Kova. Jorginho is probably the most meh player I’ve ever seen. There is tons of players that are better than him who are very affordable. I believe we should sell him and go get a younger, better talent.

Worth adding that the Lukaku transfer was funded by sales, so it cost the club little. However (and probably the worst part of the entire transfer) those sales included both Guéhi and Tomori.

I am hoping we get it right this year because I really fear fan fatigue I don't remember a time like this where majority of the fans are so fed up with not competing for the league and if we're not careful what will happen is Manchester United, if we're not giving it a go then down the road this fanbase will eventually give up and become exhausted because it will no longer feel like our voices are being heard it won't feel like we matter and if it becomes a decade without competing for the league the whole demand to win culture that Abramovic put in place would erode and the fanbase will just become a bunch of kids and teenagers who are too young to remember any actual success with low standards and those are the fans that will get a voice.
