I wish the media would stop talking about center point and start talking about Texas New Mexico power. There have been nearly 80 power power company trucks parked in the Walmart parking lot and across the street at an old construction storage area since Monday morning. Very few of them ever leave the lot. We are 4 mi outside of town where these people are parked and it took 4 and 1/2 days just to get a single power company truck down into our community of nearly 800 homes. About half an hour after I saw that first truck I saw a single crew working just up the road from our house and about 2 hours later we had power. It seems like they could have gotten to us and gotten power on for us much faster. Still dozens upon dozens of power company trucks just parked in town. So many rural communities out here in South Texas that still have no power and yet all the media is focusing on Houston.

Politics in Texas is the reason their power is still down. Most of the Electric Grid in Texas is not connected to either of the 2 major Grids in this Country. If they were, tnere are minimum requirements regarding hardware and backup systems, they are not so they can make more in profits instead of upgrading the hardware.
