It's time to start building apartment blocks for people and not allow mobile homes or wooden houses to be built near the coast. Americans do not learn at all and do not draw conclusions. They will allow people to rebuild again in areas that will be destroyed again in a year, but I guess it's all about the DOLLAR!

Or lava in Hawaii. One building is completely made of lava rock. It withstood a tsunami. Sadly most of the people didn’t survive… It was centuries ago that happened. That was the only building that survived and still stands despite being made so long ago.

FL is a flat, narrow, sandy, long peninsula located between a gulf and ocean. So hurricanes and tornados are fairly common in the state. Yet the state is filled with cheaply-built ranch homes and mobile homes on slabs at ground level...near the coasts...that flood quickly every time there's a storm. While damage from tornados can't be easily prevented, flooding can be reduced by building homes on higher foundations. Don't see why this hasn't become a requirement for new builds. There should also be a law for houses to be built a certain distance from bodies of water. People don't need to live steps from the water. Turn those areas into public beaches or parks that people can enjoy in nice weather, but kept a safe distance away from during storms.

It didn’t need to. Oddly, the water retreated out of Tampa Bay instead of surging. The scientists aren’t sure why but it was a blessing.

Explain how homeowners have a home but don't have flood insurance in a place that's surrounded around water??? I live in the Pacific Northwest Explain to me how you don't have flood insurance Put you live in the water Basically that's what Florida is So make this make sense No documentation No flood insurance Holmes demolished All your stuff is gone And you're supposed to just start over With what??? GoFundMe??? Relatives??? Live on the street??? Live in our car??? How about living in a tent??? Oh oh we're homeless... That's what the government really wanted for all of you They wanted to create a huge problem And then have a solution that doesn't fix it And then turn around and act like they're helping But this is beyond FEMA We need to send troops in military To help in situations like this Out of all the celebrities That are rich You haven't heard anyone but Dolly Parton And she's like a hundred years old Dollies out here Giving out money Every celebrity needs to match dolly I want you all to match Dolly's dollars Let's go #matchDolly'sdollars

If you had a boat Why didn't you take your boat before the storm away You have a boat leave go anywhere I don't get it It's like nobody in Florida knows how to prepare for a storm They all think they can put up some wood on Windows They think they can get some sandbags And everything's going to be okay I don't understand you people Please explain to me what is wrong with you Florida people

Everybody knew about the storm There's no reason why anybody should have been there Besides the emergency response getting people out There should have been buses bossing people to places They should have flown people out Eventually Floridians will realize That you've been blessed to live in a beautiful paradise But... It's time to leave When the bad weather comes we can't be here at all It doesn't matter what we think in our head about the last hurricane That we survived Last night about surviving What's about living in thriving You can't live and thrive If you're always be rebuilding Every single year You're taking two steps backward Just to go one step forward You end up in the same situation every single year I'm tired of listening to the news talk about the same thing every year Everyone knows what's going to happen It's just kind of like watching a train wreck every year that you can't do nothing about because the people are just not that bright Yes I said it Florida radians are not that bright As a matter of fact United States of America is pretty dumb They operate like we're 1950

Your grandma is 81 living by yourself In Florida where the weather is hot and treacherous What does she need she's 81 She's probably should be in a care facility In a whole different state I don't ever see no man with these women either So if you're a single woman Add tragedy happens like this That's why you need a man around Women don't know what to do in tragedy This is about muscle This is not about makeup This is real life And there's no time for cry babies And we all are adults And we know the price is high And most people can't pay You spend too much time playing around When you should have the squirrel mentality You're too wrapped up in the world and not paying attention to the signs That the Bible has told you about Everyone is going to reap What we sow God help us all😮😮😮

Not even related to the hurricane. She isn’t the one lying about $750 being available only. That’s only for essentials. I did talk to those working in FEMA. They think it’s ridiculous that the claims are that they’d only provide $750. This includes a few who are republican.
