I was fortunate enough to see them 3 times when Charlotte was still there, and it absolutely blew my mind. I saw them at Kendal Calling 09 when Charlotte was no longer there, they were still amazing, but you could really tell that something was missing. Tis a real shame that she has moved on.

They asked to join the band years ago, and then they asked her to leave. For whatever the reason (Ash claim it was to return to their early style), it's kind of a dick move. Then again, Charlotte Hatherley got famous with the band and now has a strong solo career with some awesome songs, so it's turned out pretty well for her.
