@Casto392410 ай бұрын
@@jodywells7519Of course it was a shed. It is not capable of dragging and ripping out the eyes out of eye sockets along with itself. Dead skin is nowhere near that strong. All that yellow/green mush was probably just a pus pileup.

My parents are thinking of getting a bearded dragon for my little brother and I want to help out my parents with it so watching this is helping me get to know a little more about there behavior
@ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons Жыл бұрын
Its not really the behavior. Its the lighting,humidity, heat. substrate or no substrate. Lights have a shelf life for uvb production, even though the light will still emit light it will not emit uvb and thats what they need to properly digest food. lack of uvb leads to stunted limbs that might not even work, tail disfigurement. These are things the petstore doesnt promote to the buyer. Whether that's from lack of knowledge or it's because they know if they explain that to him that means that your family would be having to buy a light every 6 months at like $70 a piece they don't want to add in all those costs they're just trying to sell the bearded dragon If you ever have any questions in the comments ask a Wendy Porter or Kyle prebby And they will give you answers that will make mine seem Like I don't know anything and I know a ton they are very smart reptile people

@ProbablyMerc Жыл бұрын
i don't own a bearded dragon but i have had snakes and leopard geckos and am a member of reptile forums that discuss bearded dragons. you shouldn't have to do anything like this at all, the animal should be able to shed without assistance under the correct humidity. it could also damage the animals skin to do so

I cant even understand how a owner could watch that happen for months and months and think the animal was okay? Did you read the vet notes? on the vet video?
@wendyporter1093 Жыл бұрын
@@ChuckNorrizBeardedDragons I sure did. Looks like you’re going to be on injections of antibiotics for the long haul, which we pretty well knew. I see they also still have her on the anti fungal amd anticoccidial. Do any of the meds bother her stomach? Also, check her vent and mouth for yeast. She hopefully won’t get it, since she is on an antifungal, but you want to get an additional treatment if she gets it. (Probably a topical ointment.). If you notice scales falling off, or tiny white

The nose and eye peels are especially satisfying. Is that poor one with the infected eyes blind now or is there a chance of recovery? 😢
@kriollima Жыл бұрын
this is normal for reptiles that don't notice having this skin in the eye, but then it has to come off because it has already created a new skin. this happens a lot with snakes, it helps keep the eye hydrated. I think you're talking about that.
