Yes it is an adjoining room. I live locally and go up there a few times a year. The Silver Queen was actually rebuilt in 1876. The original hotel was built in 1861 and burned down in 1874 during the Great Fire. It was called Monelli Hotel after the original owner. In 1876 it was rebuilt and completed but was not actually called the Silver Queen until after the turn of the century. The ghost in room 11 was actually a woman named Lynette who did in fact commit suicide in the bathtub by slitting her wrists. She roams the entire property and is not confined to one room. "Rosie" does not exist. Lynette was NOT a prostitute and the story of Rosie was invented by a former owner to gain business. (Shame!). Nonetheless, Lynette is quite real as is the spirit of a man who died in the hotel in 2010. Yes. You read that right. 2010. The room number where he died has never been disclosed. Nor has his name as his family still lives in the area and are very much alive. Please respect their privacy regarding his death. I believe there are several ghosts at the hotel which saw both tragedy and comedy throughout its existence. There is a "failed" writer in the bar who died of alcohol poisoning. I believe he died because he was drinking homemade which contains ethanol. There is also the spirit of a woman who did laundry. The whole prostitute story is bull shit and insulting to the spirits of the women who are there. Sometimes stories are told in order to spare others much pain and to cover painful truths. Not so much a sin in my opinion. Edited for grammar and spelling..

The name of the place is reminding me (Daddy) of Virginia, Minnesota - the mining town my grandfather came from. You've given a smidge into my relatives' journey. He feels a little closer thanks to you. Thank you!! Whipped cream, meet nose. Together, you create blooper awesomeness. Love...love...LOVE the turn-of-the-century-and-before vibe. Amazing. A margherita garlic bread...NIIIIICE. My grandfather would commend you for your pasta twirling skills, Kevin. My wife (Anonymommy) would go nuts over the dessert! And it's not a house, Kevin. Great stuff!

I've had years of pasta twirling experience to perfect my technique, haha and I'm pretty much useless before coffee -(Kevin)

Great video. I've been going to Virginia City since I was a kid and it's one of my favorite places to visit. My family and I stayed at the Silver Queen in the summer of 2019 and I loved it. We actually stayed in the room that I think is right below the room you guys stayed in. It had the window facing the main street and the entrance from the hallway looked like yours. It also had a claw foot tub. I totally agree that the town gives a completely different feel when the sun goes down. We've never been to the restaurant where you guys had dinner but we will now. Thanks for sharing your time there and thanks for sharing a great video. :-)

Thank you! The hotel was definitely old and authentic. There were plenty of creeks and noises throughout the night, but I think that was just the hotel being old

My husband and I got married at the Silver Queen Chapel on Halloween in 2020. And I’ve been going there since I was a little girl. It’s such a neat place. Taking my son this Saturday for the Christmas parade and holiday train o lights.

You should stay at the Talbott Tavern and Inn in Bardstown, Kentucky, It's haunted, and the ghosts will indeed keep you awake there! I had a very terrifying night at that place...
