Ultras from the same country don't get along with each other, so I can assure you in 99.9% of the National games they are not there supporting the National teams as it would be too risky in terms of security. From my experience Ultras care about the Clubs not so much National Teams.

Naah, thats wrong. Germany for example played against the UK about a month ago. Ultras from Dynamo Dresden, Lok Leipzig and Chemnitz went to the game together. It actually happens quite often, atleast in Germany.

7:03 I can't really agree on that, mate. National sport is bigger only in terms of attracting more people, but it includes more casual audience and cheering is much more - pedestrian. Fights that do happen are mostly political (Polish vs German, Brits vs Germans, Serbs vs Croats etc.). Many hardcore club fans don't bother or have merely a passing interest in it, apart from brawls. Passion level is nowhere near the club sport. Hatred as well. I hate our city adversary more than any other country's team or club. It might be different from country to country (English are great even when following national team) or even team in Europe (some are very nationalistic), but as someone present in some of these videos (5:18, 6:13, 9:58 etc.) and being part of these terraces since early 2000s, having talked to hundreds of other 'ultras' (always hated the term) across Europe, I can safely say few of us care about national team matches that much and would gladly see our country never qualify for Euro or World Cup but having our team in later stages of club competition for example...

There is nothing wrong with the word "Ultras" in the correct context. The English guy in the video didn't explain that Ultras are usually connected to an ideal or political belief. The only Ultras in England are Crystal Palace, but they are dwarfed by the Green Brigade at Celtic, both in their numbers and influence. The Green Brigade do so much to support underprivileged communities, through direct support with food banks, to supporting charities in Palestine, refugees & the homeless. They are also non violent.

@@StayingOffTopica few decades ago all the ultras/casuals groups in Scotland came togethor to fight the police at leith walk over the death of a prominent Casual. (casuals hide in the crowds and fight after the games). This guy who died was notorious for axing people in nightclubs and so on. So in times the ultras will come togethor but normally they all hate each other.

Like your video, but I got a few things to say First,in the beggining this not a fight,these were Lech Poznan Ultras (Poland). It is common the group to split and to run againts each other,it ia visible in many metal concerts also. Regarding National teams, the ultras from the different teams are not going so together.Every Ultra group have it Sector on the stadium,and the Ultras are going in their sectors,split from the police.For example in my country Bulgaria, 2 biggest teams are CSKA Sofia( CSKA Ultra here ) and Levski Sofia.Ultras of CSKA are going to Sector G on the stadium, the Levski fans are going on the opposite site, at Sector B. Its like that on the National team games also.And its like this almost everywhere at least in Central Europe and the Balkans.Some groups hate each other and wanna fight so much that even on National team game is war between Ultras

During football matches or other sports citys regions and class rivalries reemerge , some dating back centuries defacto city states with a 50.000 man legion . Even countries , Germany -Netherlands have the longest and most bitter rivalry in europe . not only the suporters but also the players , they do not shy away of hurting each other , the quatlifying /friendlies of the 80s the torunaments of 1988 , 1990 would be the extreme point . Well worth a watch , and who can forget 150.000 orange supporters marching through the different nations WC most shocking is another good example of how world cups work . Like a match so brutal that it has its own wikipedia page , the Battle of Nuremburg . and its not a ww2 battle but a match between Portugal and Netherlands . a real treat to watch .

The world cup is insane. In the Netherlands many houses are being painted in orange. Whole streets are decorated. All the main squares in every city are packed with thousands of people in orange. It's the biggest event. If they score you can hear it in every corner across the country.

Ultra groups are mostly divided in several groups. One group does the animation, another takes care of pyros,... There's also an unwritten rule in some countries; If another rival Ultra group can take your original banner, you're done. Your group needs to stop all activities. They failed to protect their "Coat of Arms". And indeed, in Europe it's a Religion. It goes mostly from father to son. It's in our blood and nothing else counts. Mostly we don't go for the games, just for the friendship and brotherhood. The feeling of beein an one men army is indescribable. It really feels like you can win every battle/game. It's the most beautiful way to support your favorite club. There's much rivalry between many Ultra groups, but also much respect! Greetings from Belgium!

A lot of the teams in the video are from the country the video was made. Try to read the first words in the video or the chhannel name. If you can't, try translate and you will find out the country. I saw a lot of flags, banners and city names on it that i know. But it's a good mix of scenes from all over europe. Btw. the uk is the country football started in europe, thats why they are known for football. But there are a lot countries better. Take a look on what counties won the world cup or even european championship the most.

Tip for you guys, the whole "x% of you aren't subscribed" thing is really annoying and I make a point of not subbing to channels who say it. If a particular video is good enough then I sub straight away but otherwise I won't sub to a channel until I've seen enough from the channel to warrant a sub.
