My first house I had a spiral notebook that I tape the labels on a page, or wrote down the person that gave me the plant, what it was, how to take care of it , and where I planted it. When I moved from my first house I offered it to the new owners. Unfortunately I never started a new one for the house I live in now. You have inspired me to start one this year. Thanks for sharing how you store your seeds. Mine are in the cardboard box also. Thanks for all the inspiration you give me.

Nerd alert! 🙋🙋 I have implemented a version of most of these but definitely not as successfully as you. All great tips as usual. I tried the journal but it quickly got away from me. I love the weekly calendar! And of course your seed google doc is fantastic. I have a video recommendation - seeds can be overwhelming to gardeners new to that piece. I know you've done some videos already (I'll have to go back through them) but it would be cool to have one dedicated to seed starting for beginners to demystify it and help beginners get into it without feeling the need to spend a ton of money on equipment. And what you do in zone 9 vs cooler zones. How often do/can you direct sow vs starting under grow lights. If we're past our last frost date do we need a grow light setup or can we put them in seed starting mix and throw them outside? Stuff like that.

Once again amazing info. I do have my gardens divided into 1/3s' so that I am not doing everything all on one day. Which has been a game changer for me. I do want to keep my weekend for doing relaxing stuff or planting and not doing what you say the mondane things. I did pick up other helpful tips from you so thank you. Good morning, fellow plant nerd! Do your friends eyes haze over after listening to you talk about plants, too?🙄 Mine do, and the sad thing is, I'm just getting started! 😁 If I'm not in the garden, I'm watching You Tube videos of gardening (and some RVing, too.) I love your organization ideas and I'm trying to develop my own Excel spreadsheet. I use the photo organizer idea for seeds but I love your idea of separating them by season. I've been gardening for over 30 years and still learning. I keep a filing box for keeping my plant and shrub labels in. I mark on the label where they are located in the garden. I grow mostly perennials and shrubs with a few annuals as fillers. Not as organized as you. Bonny zone 5b

Loving that seed saver! So fun! I want to recommend an app called Bublup. Every time I plant something I take a picture of the seed packet or tag and then send to Bublup. You can categorize on the app. So, I have one category called "In my pots" and another called In the Front Garden." Super easy system! :)
