The plaintiff says the defendant is her mother, who she loves, but she doesn’t like her stepfather. She claims he was physically and verbally abusive to her mom, and he was convicted after the plaintiff testified. She says her mom crashed her car. The defendant says she doesn’t remember if her husband was ever convicted, and she claims the accident was not her fault.

Mothers try to keep the peace in a household and end up sacrificing everybody in it but the abuser! When the children start acting out, the mothers always want to force the children to accept the decisions made by the abuser as law of the land! Stockholm syndrome is very difficult to remove from someone who has been conditioned to accept it. Judge Mathis should also provide counseling for those who find themselves in his court showing these basic signs as this could save the lives of those involved.
